The hysterectomy using DaVinci robot is performed in the Gynecological Oncology Department of Sourasky Lis Maternity and Women’s Hospital. The robotic hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) takes 1 hour; a patient stays under general anesthesia. A doctor makes 5 incisions up to 1.5 mm to remove the organ.
When hysterectomy is over, a woman stays in the Hospital for 24-48 hours. The scarring and pain are minimal after a robotic hysterectomy.
