Everything was perfect. My personal driver met me at the airport and took me to the clinic in a luxury car. At the clinic I was met by the coordinator - interpreter Ismail. He helped me to get registered at the clinic and set preliminary analyses. The next day there was another coordinator - interpreter. She helped me through the remaining procedures before surgery. Many people come with an accompanying family member (mum, sister, husband) I came alone. So my coordinator sat with me in the room after surgery all day until I fully recovered, talking to me. All the days after the operation, the coordinators came several times a day to ask about my condition and my needs. All the doctors are very nice and attentive. All the staff, nurses, orderlies and other clinic staff are all very caring and nice. The ward is large and spacious. It has a toilet and a shower. There is a cupboard for personal belongings and a TV set. Meals are provided several times a day. The menu differs depending on the operation and some people can make their own diet. Hello, my name is Vladislav Ivanov, Ukraine, Odessa city. In February 2021, my daughter Vlada was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma, we went to the doctors for a week trying to find out why the child started having severe headaches. They went through examinations, did an MRI, and as a fact, they found a brain tumor. That's when the ground slipped from under my feet. Realization has come - this has already happened, which means you need to quickly take action. The first thing we did was go to the children's hospital in Kyiv, the child was given a shunt. But unfortunately, fluid began to collect in my head and my vision began to fall sharply. The doctors explained that an operation was urgently needed. We did not have a large accumulated amount, and we decided to complete the operation abroad. We contacted Bookmed. We contacted the employee Marina. Marina quickly found a clinic for us in Turkey, organized a trip for us, flew to Turkey in a matter of days. The hospital was already waiting for us. Examined, took blood for tests and the next day an operation was scheduled. Everything went well. Then they underwent a course of radiotherapy. The results are positive, we were sent home to Ukraine (August 2021). Every 3 months they underwent MRI, the pictures were good .. But a year later, in March 2022, we heard the terrible words “relapse”, “war”. Hastily collected the necessary documents and left for Lviv. From there, by large buses, all children with cancer began to be taken out along the humanitarian corridor from Ukraine to Europe. The daughter and his wife were assigned to France. A second operation was performed, the tumor was removed, and after that a course of chemotherapy was prescribed. After a month of taking the course, the doctor said that chemotherapy was not helping. The doctor suggested experimental chemotherapy, but that didn't help either. As a result, the daughter is getting worse and worse every day. The child began to walk badly, the right leg and handle practically do not work. The child melted before my eyes. It's all very scary, but it's worse to leave Vlad without an opportunity for treatment. I again turned to Marina Bookmed Marina again very quickly found us a hospital in Turkey, helped us with the flight Paris Istanbul. Arrived at the hospital 2 days later, the operation was successful!!! After the operation, the child began to talk, swallow, and after a couple of days to walk. Honestly, my surgeon (Dr Atilla Eyuboglu) was amazing, he was experienced and empathetic. The nurses were lovely and supported me throughout my recovery. The translator went above and beyond and arranged all my transport and answered all my questions. My experience has been amazing and I’m in love with the results of my breast augmentation! The surgeon listened to me and they look amazing. I was initially worried going abroad, but I’m glad I did my experience was so positive and worry free. Even down to arranging the appointment through bookimed, they would chase things up for me and support me through booking it. Please note that everything here is based on Turkish, only doctors can communicate in English. It can be seen how much Turkey has advanced and is self-sufficient. I am grateful to fate that I met the professor - neurosurgeon Chagatay Ozturk. Easy to communicate, concise, it is immediately clear that the highest level specialist, after the examination, identified the problem and showed it on the MRI scan and explained what was to come. Unfortunately, I had to deal with absolute chaos and incompetent staff for the first time. The nurses forgot to inject anaesthetic, which made me go through all the circles of hell immediately after the operation. To put the patient's health or even life at risk is an absolutely unacceptable mistake. They deviated from the surgeon's treatment plan. The staff simply do not understand how to mobilise the patient after the operation. I was pulled on both sides by hands from the bed, while I had stitches under my breasts and drains under my armpits. The drains were on the floor, to the indignation of the surgeon himself - the nurses were bickering. The clinic positions itself as international, but not a single person from the staff did not speak any other language than Turkish. On phone calls - the nurses were unresponsive. When you are in pain, money doesn't matter. I wanted to stay a couple more days in the clinic for $650 a day, not including medication. But after one night and forgotten medications by the staff, I realised I was better off checking out. The staff ran to a pharmacy three nine lands away for medication that should initially be on hand, the clinic does not have its own pharmacy. Head's interpreter, in a hostile posture reprimanded me for my dissatisfaction with the staff. The absolute unprofessionalism was astounding to me. The doctors are top, the clinic is not. I advise you to seek out Medicare doctors at other more professional clinics.
