Never come to the Artemis Clinic, treating patients is not worth the money paid, especially beware of an interpreter named Zhey. Firstly, he has very poor Russian language, never translates as it should, moreover, he was not present after the operation, while the patient was in intensive care, appeared three days after the operation with an invoice for payment in excess of the previously agreed amount. When we told him that his work did not suit us, he replied that these were our problems and we could go to another clinic, and the hospital would not fully refund the money paid to us. By the way, before we paid $ 6000 to the cash desk of the hospital, everyone was very polite with us including the interpreter Jay, and promised that they would take us to the operation the next day, but after payment it was as if everyone had changed, they started to be rude and rude especially to Zhey. They pulled the operation as best they could despite the terrible pain of the patient. Another translator, Ishvar, was a pleasant person with good knowledge of the Russian language. We wanted him, but for some reason we were not allowed, besides we heard that he was forbidden to help us and he already stopped answering our calls. So if you came to India for treatment it’s better to go to another clinic, but if you did come to Artemis when they will provide you with an interpreter, in no case do you agree to the services of an interpreter JAY!

Hello, my name is Vladislav Ivanov, Ukraine, Odessa city. In February 2021, my daughter Vlada was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma, we went to the doctors for a week trying to find out why the child started having severe headaches. They went through examinations, did an MRI, and as a fact, they found a brain tumor. That's when the ground slipped from under my feet. Realization has come - this has already happened, which means you need to quickly take action. The first thing we did was go to the children's hospital in Kyiv, the child was given a shunt. But unfortunately, fluid began to collect in my head and my vision began to fall sharply. The doctors explained that an operation was urgently needed. We did not have a large accumulated amount, and we decided to complete the operation abroad. We contacted Bookmed. We contacted the employee Marina. Marina quickly found a clinic for us in Turkey, organized a trip for us, flew to Turkey in a matter of days. The hospital was already waiting for us. Examined, took blood for tests and the next day an operation was scheduled. Everything went well. Then they underwent a course of radiotherapy. But a year later, in March 2022, we heard the terrible words “relapse”, “war”. Hastily collected the necessary documents and left for Lviv. From there, by large buses, all children with cancer began to be taken out along the humanitarian corridor from Ukraine to Europe. The daughter and his wife were assigned to France. A second operation was performed, the tumor was removed, and after that a course of chemotherapy was prescribed. After a month of taking the course, the doctor said that chemotherapy was not helping. The doctor suggested experimental chemotherapy, but that didn't help either. As a result, the daughter is getting worse and worse every day. The child began to walk badly, the right leg and handle practically do not work. The child melted before my eyes. It's all very scary, but it's worse to leave Vlad without an opportunity for treatment. Great and thorough communication, after weeks of research we ended up choosing Prof. Oliver, had a Skype consultation and scheduled the surgery a few months later. He was extremely kind and patient and answered all the questions throughout our hospital stay and follow up appointments. The surgery bought us +10 precious years with our mother which is priceless! The hospital is very clean, food is good and staff is friendly; great views of the Tibidabo from the hospital room and gorgeous green manicured gardens that lead to the main entrance. The place is huge, it took me a couple days to learn my way around from the parking to all the right departments.

The ward is excellent, the attentive staff, the surgeon is a master of his craft, testing, organization, time accuracy at a high level. It’s bad that there is a lack of Russian-speaking staff, without English knowledge it can be difficult to explain what is needed, the Russian-speaking Yako-coordinator is busy and it is difficult to find it urgently. The kitchen could to be more European, but enough food and quite tolerable. I ordered the interpreter when I met at the airport and departure separately.

My whole family against me coming to turkey for this operation from the Us they were very scared and I was a little nervous as well . Wish they could have come and seen how I was treated here like royalty . Hate to admit it but would have never got this kind of service in US. I think everyone here that was involved doctors nurses interpreters drivers and sure left some out behind the scenes. Would definitely recommend and come back again

I would like to share my experience in the clinic. The most important thing about the operation, I had a huge hernia and before the operation I was warned about the possible difficulties of removal by the endoscopic method, but the doctor advised me to start with it. A very good doctor - Stanislaw Kwiek, has over 16 years of experience in minimally invasive surgery. The operation was successful. The rehabilitologist is a good woman, she told and showed the exercises and a rough rehabilitation plan. Most of all I didn't like the managers. Before the operation, they assured that it was enough for them to show the tickets, that I was flying to them, and you could pay on the spot. As soon as I showed the tickets, they told me that now I need to pay 20% in advance ... Also, the entire price list was thrown off to me only after I threw off the tickets to them. Part of the expenses was covered by the insurance and the clinic had to return the difference. If before the operation they picked up the phone immediately, then after that I could not get through. The money was returned after 2 weeks, but not the entire amount, I did not understand why, as I think it is useless. In general, if you forget about those who make money and talk only about the honey side, then everything is fine. Good doctor.

Hello, we are from Kazakhstan. Came here for diagnosis and treatment of my son. We really liked the clinic. Neurologist Barış Metin explained everything to us in detail. We learned a lot about my son's illness. My son has hydrocephalus and even after the tests we found out that he has epilepsy, the VP-shunt works at an accelerated rate, so my son did not develop. Now we are receiving treatment. We hope it helps insha Allah. I also liked the staff, especially the translators, I forgot the names, but one of them even knows the Kazakh language. It was super convenient. LIV Hospital services are very much in line with and in no way inferior to the world level, believe me, because due to health problems of my family, we had to see clinics in the USA, China, South Korea, Israel. From the very first call I felt great care for me as a loved one. Many thanks to Sabina, Nigina - coordinators / translators, they did a great job, we could contact them at any time of the day and they supported the patient with all their hearts. Please note that everything here is based on Turkish, only doctors can communicate in English. It can be seen how much Turkey has advanced and is self-sufficient. I am grateful to fate that I met the professor - neurosurgeon Chagatay Ozturk. Easy to communicate, concise, it is immediately clear that the highest level specialist, after the examination, identified the problem and showed it on the MRI scan and explained what was to come. An operation was performed to remove the hernia on L5-S1 and a titanium disc was installed. The atmosphere of the team was very favorable and cozy, there was a high level of coherence and discipline. The concern was such that I did not feel any pain or heaviness, although they say that the operation was not an easy one. On the second day after the operation, I already walked and on the sixth day I was already discharged. Finally I got rid of pain and sleepless nights over the years! Laminectomy or open decompression of the spine is a low-traumatic operation during which the neurosurgeon removes part of the vertebra - the arch. The doctor prescribes it for intervertebral hernia, injuries and degenerative changes in the spine.

What does preparation for surgery include?

Before the operation, the patient must undergo an examination:

  • blood test;
  • Analysis of urine;
  • coagulogram;
  • electrocardiogram (ECG);
  • checking liver function;
  • chest x-ray;
  • CT or MRI of the spine

How is the procedure and recovery going?

During the procedure, the patient is under general anesthesia. The neurosurgeon makes a small longitudinal incision (up to 3 cm), removes the vertebral arches and sutures.
