The surgical interventions using the Da Vinci medical robot are conducted in the Surgery Department of Asklepios Medical Network. Specialists of the Hospitals perform interventions through 12 mm incisions. The duration of Da Vinci procedure is up to 3 hours.
Asklepios doctors apply the robot:
- in cardiac surgery to treat the mitral valve prolapse, neoplasia of the heart, the installation of a pacemaker;
- in urology for prostate cancer surgery, kidney adenocarcinoma, cystolithiasis;
- in gynecology for the treatment of ovarian tumors, uterine fibroids, obstruction of fallopian tubes.
The hospital stay is determined individually according to the robotic surgery type. Usually is takes 3-7 days.
