The liver resection surgery is performed at Bumrungrad Horizon Cancer Center.
The surgery lasts from 3 to 7 hours. The duration depends on the type of surgical intervention and size of the tissue needs to be removed. During the procedure, a surgeon resects a part of the liver which is affected by cancer cells or another pathology. Partial hepatectomy is carried out laparoscopically through 2 cm incisions or by open method.
After the liver resection, a patient stays in the Intensive Care Unit for 1-2 days and up to 10 days in the general ward.
The cost of liver resection depends on the volume of intervention. The price includes operation process, required medical materials, and hospital stay.

I was extremely satisfied with everything that happened to me at this wonderful hospital. I don't think that there is a hospital in Asia which can compare with this one. From the doctors to the nurses and all other personell in this hospital ALL are competent, very polite and friendly - the only small criticism that I have is that unfortunately many don't speak English very well, that's a great shame.
