Dr. Della Torre is now Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and Senior Consultant at the Unit of Immunology, Rheumatology, Allergy, and Rare Disease (UnIRAR) of San Raffaele Hospital.

Dr. Della Torre authored more than 100 scientific publications on international peer-reviewed journals and achieved prestigious awards such as the Collegio Ghislieri and the Cariplo Foundation awards for young researchers, the TRIDEO award, the MyFirst AIRC research grant, and the Career Research Grant Award from the FOREUM Foundation.

With his seminal works Dr. Della Torre contributed to the characterization of a novel autoimmune disease known as “IgG4-related disease” and is currently considered “World Expert of IgG4-related disease” by the prestigious Expertscape platform.

Dr. Della Torre is the Disease Coordinator of the IgG4-related disease European working group of the European Reference Network (ERN) on Rare Connective Tissue and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ReCONNET).

Up to September 2022, his scientific publications received more than 6000 citations with an H-index of 35.

Dr. Della Torre presented his studies in different national and international immune-rheumatologic congresses, organized a number of scientific meetings, and co-authored 10 medical books. She performs interventions for the establishment of distal arteriovenous fistulas in collaboration with the vascular surgeon and autonomously performs procedures of tunneled CVC placements for the execution of the dialysis treatment.

Collaborates with intensive care units and coronary arteries for continuous dialysis treatments (CRRT) in patients with acute renal failure and chronic dialysis patients.

She manages the Centre of clinical nephrology and dialysis at San Donato Hospital with particular interest in conservative therapy and pre-dialysis.

Dr. Jacopo Peccatori is the Head of Bone Marrow Transplant Department in San Raffaele Scientific Institute and one of the top lymphoma doctors. He has been in this position since 2006 and has written over 70 studies on allogeneic bone marrow transplantation, acute leukemia, and multiple myeloma. Dr. Giorgia Mangili is the Head of the Medical Gynecological Oncology Group at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute Hospital since 2002. She has a degree in general medicine and specialties in gynecology and obstetrics, oncology, and is an Associate and Professor in obstetrics and gynecology. She focuses her work on gynaecological oncology, rare gynaecological tumours, preservation of fertility in oncology and cancer and pregnancy. She is a member of the European Organisation for Treatment of Trophoblastic Diseases, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology, and the Italian Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

Prof. Carlo Pappone is the Head of the Operative Unit of Clinical Arithmology and the Electrophysiology Laboratory at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in Milan and an experienced Fellow in numerous international cardiology societies. He has a specialization in Cardiology from 1990 and a PhD in Cardiovascular Diseases from 1995, and has been involved in all electrophysiology procedures. He has also developed a new epicardial ablation procedure to identify and eliminate the mechanisms that trigger sudden death in Brugada syndrome patients. He is a highly experienced surgeon with over 30 years of experience, having completed medical degrees in general medicine and general surgery, as well as specialization in thoracic surgery. He is a member of multiple surgical associations, and has written over 300 publications. His department treats approximately 2,000 surgical cases per year.

Professor Pietro Mortini MD is a highly experienced Italian neurosurgeon who specializes in neuro- and radiosurgeries with a focus on minimally invasive spine and brain operations. He is a Visiting Professor at the George Washington University, has a degree in Otorhinolaryngology and Neurosurgery from the University of Milan and University of Verona, and has patented a method of manufacturing a device for regenerating biological tissues.
