My experience with getting my wisdom teeth removed at 1st Family Dental of Logan Square was excellent. The clinic was clean and modern, and the staff were all very friendly and professional. The procedure itself went smoothly and was relatively painless, and the dentist took the time to explain everything to me beforehand and answer any questions I had. The aftercare instructions were clear and easy to follow, and I had no complications during my recovery.

Unfortunately both my partner and I had a bad experience here. We tried this dentist when our insurance switched & thought it would be perfect because it was close, but unfortunately we faced quite a few issues. Not only were we seen late (45-hour late) with no explanation, but they told us we each had multiple cavities that needed filling immediately. When we felt icky about the experience, we went back to our usual dentist & got a second opinion - neither of us had ANY cavities (and they walked us through our X-rays to ensure we knew what they meant). It was so crazy that even the team at our usual spot was upset when we told them. So on top of taking us back late & the fact that the office/rooms were quite out dated, they didn’t do any cancer screenings, etc. this felt incredibly sketchy by this dental practice. Would not recommend.

When I had an emergency with a temporary crown, I was able to get an appointment the next day and saw Dr. Leonard who was kind, communicative, and put all my dental fears at ease. A terrific experience 360.

First i LOVE how this office looks! People complain how it’s not “modern” I think it looks how a dentist office should look. The front desk ladies were sweet and kind! Easy check in, informed me what i should expect to be paying. Check out super easy with a nice run down of upcoming treatments and scheduling. Dr. Sidhwa was amazing very calm made things easy to understand and I did NOT feel rushed at all, explained everything very well ensured i did not leave without a question not answered. Made sure throughout the cleaning i was okay and not feeling any pain. His assistant Shannon(i hope that how she spells it) Was very kind and did not make me feel rushed at all. Kept nice conversation. A comfortable first time visit. The whole office to me seemed like a very positive space, everyone gets along and has a good time( as good of a time that one can have at work ) And i love seeing that at any office. 100/5 stars!!!

I was a new patient and it was an amazing first experience! The front desk, the dental assistant, and the dentist were all very kind and helpful. They worked very efficiently but still made time to take questions. Highly recommend for those looking for quality dental care! Parking is a little hard to find so plan accordingly!

Too good to be true. Easy scheduling process online which I loved but turned out to be very useless to say the least! It turns out they did not take my insurance and I was not aware of (online stated different) until I called 30 mins before my appointment. No call, no email, no voice message, NOTHING to let me know my insurance was not accepted!!! Thankfully my children had a secondary insurance or this would be a blank trip to the dentist. The receptionist continued to ask would I like to self pay as if I don’t have insurance and that they failed to notify me that they didn’t accept the Cigna HMO. After telling me that my kids could still be seen and we would probably wait about an hour given that their original appointment was for 10:00 and mines was for 9:00, fine not a problem. I got to the office before half of the staff. 10 patients have walked in and out and we are still WAITING! Almost 3 hours later! Only patients in the waiting area and 0 communication from the staff. I would highly recommend not to schedule online and also make sure they accept your insurance. Apparently if you have commercial hmo or Medicaid your time is not valued or respected! Absolutely NO ONE WAITING AND WE ARE SITTING DUCKS! 10 patients in after us and are out and gone about their day!
