Surgical:
Sleeve gastrectomy
The procedure involves stomach size reduction. It is associated with the highest lifelong comfort and the lowest complication risk. This type of surgery became the most popular bariatric surgery worldwide.
Weight loss surgeons carry out sleeve gastrectomy laparoscopically. During the procedure through four small incisions (about the size of a pea), the surgeon gets access to the abdominal cavity and removes approximately 80% of the stomach.
Sleeve gastrectomy is an option for patients with the body mass index between 35 and 40 kg/m² and an increased risk of heart diseases, diabetes, and hypertension.
Gastric bypass
The procedure is performed by the creation of a small pouch (0.5-15 mm) in the upper stomach to shrink its size. Surgically one part of the abdomen is isolated for food, but this section still produces gastric juice and enzymes.
Unlike sleeve gastrectomy, the surgeon doesn't remove any part of the stomach.
As a result, gastric bypass restricts the amount of food that can be eaten by well over 90%.
After recovery, the typical patients' results are 65-80% of excess body weight loss.
Also, doctors advise this procedure as a revision surgery after sleeve gastrectomy or gastric plication.
According to the patients' results, gastric bypass improves hyperlipidemia, essential hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea, and type 2 diabetes by over 70%.
Non-surgical:
Gastric balloon
The gastric balloon is a medical device that is placed temporarily into the stomach to reduce weight. This method is an alternative to surgical one. The stomach balloon limits the amount of food and creates a feeling of fullness.
To perform the procedure, doctors use endoscopy. The balloon in the deflated state establishes through the mouth.
The system consists of a balloon, a placement tube, and a filling system. After placing the balloon into the abdomen, it is filled with saline.
This method helps the balloon to float freely within the stomach. The surgery lasts 20-25 minutes.
The gastric balloon is designed for 6-12 months (according to its type). To remove the device, the surgeon also uses endoscopy. The surgeon pierces the balloon with a needle and removes it with a gastroscope.
After removing the balloon, the effect stays permanent. But the patient can repeat the procedure if necessary.
Stomach Botox
Gastric Botulinum Toxin injection is a method which helps to facilitate the appetite control.Botox injection is a non-surgical procedure. Doctors provide an endoscopy needle into the gastric fundus — the appetite center. It helps to stop Ghrelin hormone signals from that area, so the patient gets a feeling of prolonged fullness.The procedure takes around 20 minutes, and the amount of botox is subject to patients' needs.Stomach Botox is an option for individuals with a bodyweight index higher than 25 kg/m² and those looking for the alternative to surgical treatment. I had my surgery on 11th July, and from the very beginning, everything was handled with outstanding professionalism and care. Before the surgery, the entire team — including doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and the patient representative — made sure I fully understood the process, which really put me at ease. Dr. Hasan Erdem was extremely professional and reassuring, and on the day of surgery, I felt completely safe in his hands. The support didn’t stop after the operation; the nutritionists are still guiding me through every stage, helping me understand what to eat and how to stay on track. I lost 15kgs in the first 14 days, and I genuinely credit that to the structure, advice, and care I received. Even the airport pick-up and drop-off were smooth and handled by professional, friendly drivers. 1. The communication from the get go was wonderful, and very clear

3. Even though we were disrupted by national events beyond our control the hospital accommodated us ans shifted dates around for our favour, for that i am really grateful.

I had a gastric sleeve surgery (stomach removal) at Dr HE Clinic and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions of my life. From the very first message, I felt fully supported – every question I had was answered clearly, with care and professionalism.
Everything was perfectly organised – airport pickup, transfers, accommodation. All medical tests before the procedure were done smoothly and efficiently. The surgery went well, with no complications, and the post-op care was truly excellent.
The hotel was in a great location – it was easy and cheap to get around by taxi and explore some nice places

Doctor Hasan Erdem was exceptional. From the initial consultation to the surgery itself, he provided me with clear and comprehensive information, which helped me feel confident and prepared. His attention to detail and personal approach were truly impressive.
