Physicians utilize radiation for rectal cancer treatment in the Oncology Department of Medipol Clinic.

Radiologists plan the procedure using Eclipse device. They create a 3D model of the tumor and aim the rays at it with high precision. To provide radiation treatment for rectal cancer, physicians use Varian Trilogy linear accelerator. It affects the formation at different angles and destroys maximum amount of cancer cells. Patient is not required to stay in hospital between radiotherapy sessions. Full treatment course may take up to 2 months to complete.
