I was with Dr. Volume, after 2 unsuccessful chemotherapy + antibodies, I am a palliative patient with cachexia and severe symptoms, as there was massive progression of the cancer during these therapies. This is dismissed with 'can happen' and 'is always individual' and the therapy recommendation is: another antibody whose side effects are treated with daily antibiotics (mind you, I have colon cancer and my intestinal microbiome has already been completely destroyed by the chemotherapy) and further (so far unsuccessful) chemotherapy!! The outcome is uncertain because 'it is always individual'. How should I still cope with the side effects? Shrugging. Alternatives: none. In the end, blood was taken, only when asked from the port, because that can Probably not everyone there, and the person who did it probably had little experience. She simply didn't disinfect anything!! I did that myself before she gave me germs via port. And finally, with an incredible arrogance, the young receptionist tried to refuse me the prescription for medical trips with the argument that only patients who were undergoing chemotherapy could get it. I had approval from the health insurance company and I still had to argue about it for 30 minutes! I mean, I'm visibly very weak, I'm on palliative care, I have care level 5 and I'm dependent on these trips and they say, no, we won't issue that! They are obliged to do this and in my situation I have a legal right to it! She wasn't interested. I paid €70 for a one-way trip there (which was completely free)! I arrived home exhausted and very frustrated. This practice is also a purely for-profit practice that makes a lot of money from chemotherapy sales. You can't expect more than that. I can only advise against it.

An inhumane chemotherapy factory. 18 chemotherapy beds, like those in an open-plan office. Symptoms weren't taken seriously, and the doctor was only seen once between November and January, despite reports of severe pain—although chemotherapy was still administered. Occupancy there takes precedence over patient welfare: "The time slot must be adhered to." This practice is ethically unacceptable.

Refers to the practice and the attending physician, Dr. Band. A practice that still discriminates against unvaccinated people and only requires them to present a negative test at the appointment does not deserve a recommendation. A year ago, the statement was already that I HAD to get vaccinated. The actual follow-up care for the cancer diagnosis received little attention, so I prefer to forgo further support. Addendum dated July 12, 2023: Even today, the practice's managers are still writing in the "News" section that they are requiring 3G (vaccinated, tested, or tested negative) due to COVID-19. Anyone who still considers this normal in July 2023 will probably need a psychotherapist in addition to an oncologist.

ask about the costs upfront. You can be surprised by astronomical invoices for the treatments forced on you. At least, this was the case with me.
