Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital: Patients Reviews and Experience

Hi, I'm Cella, and I’m living in Bali, Indonesia. I’d like to share an honest review based on my experience of finding a medical coordinator, a doctor, and a hospital for my case. I was recently diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and stage 4 endometriosis, which required surgery as soon as possible. I was initially hospitalized in Bali, but the doctor there suggested I look for a better-equipped hospital as they didn’t have the necessary facilities to perform my surgery. It wasn’t easy to find the right care on a small island like Bali. Thankfully, my best friend helped me connect with a medical manager from Bookimed. That’s how we found Alisher, the medical manager and Prof. Dr. A Cem Iyibozkurt from Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul. We arranged an online consultation with the doctor, which was free of charge, I already have all my medical records and MRI results before an online consultation, I’ve prepared everything to speed up the process. and within a week, they scheduled my laparoscopic robotic surgery. Alisher did an excellent job coordinating everything, and I couldn’t be happier with him. Prof. Dr. Cem Iyibozkurt is an amazing doctor, highly experienced, and well-known for his expertise in the field. The hospital itself was fantastic—the nurses and staff took great care of me. I’m really grateful for the smooth process, and I highly recommend them to anyone who may be in a similar situation and looking for this kind of care and has similar situation as mine.

World-Class Neurosurgical Care and Compassion We are profoundly grateful for the exceptional care provided by Professor Ilhan Elmaci. His expertise, professionalism, and compassionate approach were evident from our very first meeting. Professor Elmaci performed the surgery to remove a medulloblastoma with extraordinary precision and care, and we felt fully confident knowing we were in the hands of one of the best in his field. Beyond his remarkable surgical skill, Professor Elmaci took the time to explain each step of the process with clarity and patience. He was always available to answer questions and offer reassurance, treating both the patient and our family with deep empathy and respect. My request was for a specific treatment for my condition, which I believe was triggered by COVID or vaccine-related complications. The treatment itself is relatively new and not widely available; however, the doctor Faturanız Hazırdır was open to considering my request, which was a decisive factor in choosing this hospital. Her level of empathy was touching. When I arrived, I received outstanding support from Aliser Durdiyev, who coordinated the entire process — from reception and medication procurement to scheduling the treatment. None of this would have been possible without Hanna Karvatska, who connected all of us who has deep personal and professional connection with people here, and I’m deeply grateful to her, Alisar, and the doctor for their support and professionalism. And special thanks for the empathy from all three people, the teamwork they created to get me what we all believe could be the best treatment.

We were diagnosed with internal and external hydrocephalus in a newborn. While searching for clinics, I accidentally came across the Bookimed platform. The team was great. Professor Alper Toker is an outstanding doctor, a true professional, and extremely knowledgeable. His team is perfectly organized, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. The nurses were incredibly attentive and compassionate, providing excellent care and support throughout the entire process. They were always available to assist with any needs, making sure that we were comfortable and well-informed at all times. From the initial consultation to the final stages of care, the entire experience was handled with **expertise and professionalism**. We are truly grateful for the dedication and hard work of Professor Alper Toker and his exceptional team.

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to express our gratitude to our doctor Ilhan Elmachi and his whole team. We are from Uzbekistan and when we were diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation we realised that this is the most complicated pathology of brain neurosurgery. Many thanks to Dr Bora Basharan and Alisher Durdiev! Diagnosis: carcinoma on the tongue. Alisher was very helpful with the choice and full support during the treatment. He gave us confidence in choosing Dr Bora Basharan by telling us about his professionalism and humanity. The most important thing for Alisher was the patient's health and to organise the diagnosis/surgery so that the patient gets the best results. We are very happy about this. We could not decide on the treatment (we were waiting for answers from South Korea) and Alisher did not give up to provide us with doctor's answers, answer our many questions and help with organisation. His ability to speak excellent Russian helped a lot in communication. The first meeting organised by Alisher went well. The doctor explained everything about the surgery and gave us peace of mind due to his experience as a highly specialised ENT surgeon in oncology. The attitude and professionalism of the doctors and medical staff were outstanding. As for the treatment — my diagnosis was a brain tumor located in a very delicate and complex area where surgery is extremely challenging. They managed to remove almost everything! The operation was performed by Professor Ilham Elmaci, a brilliant and highly experienced surgeon, together with his exceptional team. They did an amazing job. What impressed us most was how seriously the whole team approached their work — every morning, even on weekends, almost the entire medical team came to check on me.
