I will immediately say thanks to Bookimed for the initial organization of the referral to the clinic, and personally to the manager Svetlana! About 2 months before the trip, I agreed on the desired date for hair transplantation. About 2 weeks before the trip, I contacted the coordinator at the clinic itself, she is also a translator - Anna, thank you very much! She gave me important recommendations and an algorithm for meeting the driver at the airport. At the Istanbul airport, I immediately took a little cash at least to pay for food in the hotel room (next to the 9th exit from the Airport, there are ATMs a little further, I took 290 liras from the HSBC ATM, 10 liras commission from Tinkoff - there was no more at the ATM, so it would be no commission). Further, at the exit, at the agreed place, I was met by a Turkish driver. A good old man. I would have learned Turkish just to wipe it in the car for my life. Helped me to carry my luggage to the car. I took to the hotel, helped with registration in my own language with the administrators. I ordered food in the room (each dish on the menu has a serial number - you call the serial number at the reception), so the withdrawn cash came in handy. The second told me that they would inform me by phone, but no one contacted me. - medical procedures I was signed up for medical procedures, but when they arrived, the nurses began to ask me how much the medicine cost, the price for which they wrote to me on a piece of paper a week before. A very strange way of determining which drug to inject a patient. There are a number of points that confused me greatly. 1 When the price was negotiated, 1400 euros were declared for the whole head, but only half was made to me and they said that they could no longer take the grafts in the donor zone and as a result they could finish the grafts only after half a year, and I doubt very much that the second procedure will be included in initial cost. 2 I was promised that the operation would be performed by Dr. Sofia Kurt, but in reality her participation was limited to 10 minutes out of 5 hours, the rest of the time I was occupied by 2 girls who are not even doctors, but simply technicians.

I underwent hysteroscopic removal of several endometrial polyps, including one large one measuring 3 cm. Everything went perfectly - from the initial consultation to the surgery and post-operative care.
Special thanks to my doctor - Op. Dr Berna Buse Kobal. She inspired confidence from the very beginning, explained everything calmly and clearly, acted very carefully and confidently. Now that it's all over, I am pleasantly surprised and grateful to everyone who took care of me. I am impressed with how well they have organized everything for international patients. From the transportation, to the airport-hotel-airport, hotel-hospital-hotel, in all the appointments I had, more than 3 times in two weeks. The international department assigned me one and sometimes two translators, all were very well behaved, Dr. Yabuz Selim very attentive and professional, the hospital was excellent, the package included two nights accommodation in a room with two rooms, and meals for patient and companion. Pre-operative studies, post-operative follow-up, and only the agreed amount was paid from the beginning, not a dollar more we had to pay. I had never had this experience in a hospital before. The whole procedure was fast and without complications, they checked me 3 more times without any problem. They helped me resolve all my doubts and concerns, always with excellent response through whatsapp. I sincerely recommend and thank everyone involved in Hisar Hospital. I had excellent communication from Bookimed with regards to information on how to find out more about having surgery abroad. My medical co-ordinator was always just a quick text message away and answered any and all of my queries quickly and professionally. I settled on a particular surgeon, hospital, hotel and price. I paid the required deposit and flew out to Istanbul on the agreed date. As promised, I was met at the airport and taken by car to the hotel, signed in and shown to my room. The next day as arranged, I was picked up from the hotel and taken to Hisar Hospital Intercontinental for the pre-op tests and met with my surgeon to discuss and go over everything. The interpreter was always on hand to help with any language problems. The surgeon was very nice, professional and informative. About 30 mins after paying the outstanding balance I was told there seemed to be a problem regarding the cost of the procedure I was having. The upshot was, they expected me to pay 1500 euro on top of the agreed sum of 5000 euro which I'd already paid. Even though I provided copies of the text messages which outlined what was included in the procedure. I was shown into an office where it was made clear that if I didn't pay this extra sum, there would be no operation. I managed to get the sum reduced to 500 euro, but felt I had been forced/tricked/mugged into handing over more money than was agreed with Bookimed. The hospital blamed Bookimed, saying they should have been more explicit in their description of what's included in that particular procedure, even though one of the messages from the surgeon outlined the exact details of the procedure! I am disgusted at how I was treated and expect something to be done about it. I do want to point out that my treatment from the hospital nursing staff and my surgeon was wonderful, but be it the fault of the hospital admin department or Bookimed, this type of thing like this needs to be rectified. I won't ever use or recommend either establishment again.

The next day as arranged, I was picked up from the hotel and taken to Hisar Hospital Intercontinental for the pre-op tests and met with my surgeon to discuss and go over everything. The interpreter was always on hand to help with any language problems. The surgeon was very nice, professional and informative. About 30 mins after paying the outstanding balance I was told there seemed to be a problem regarding the cost of the procedure I was having. The upshot was, they expected me to pay 1500 euro on top of the agreed sum of 5000 euro which I'd already paid. Even though I provided copies of the text messages which outlined what was included in the procedure. I was shown into an office where it was made clear that if I didn't pay this extra sum, there would be no operation. I managed to get the sum reduced to 500 euro, but felt I had been forced/tricked/mugged into handing over more money than was agreed with Bookimed. The hospital blamed Bookimed, saying they should have been more explicit in their description of what's included in that particular procedure, even though one of the messages from the surgeon outlined the exact details of the procedure! I am disgusted at how I was treated and expect something to be done about it. I do want to point out that my treatment from the hospital nursing staff and my surgeon was wonderful, but be it the fault of the hospital admin department or Bookimed, this type of thing like this needs to be rectified. I won't ever use or recommend either establishment again.

This was worth the cost
Left ear hearing lost of 25yrs long, regained over a week ago after undergoing a tympanoplasty surgery.
Very skilled doctors.
Very supportive medical team. The nurses on night shift checked on me between 30minutes and an hour to take my BP and check if I was fine. Xxx
Very clean, spacious and quite hospital room,if you are not in pain after a surgery, you have a little office table and a comfortable office chair to work on your laptop, sit on the armchair and watch outside through the wide window or just lay on your comfortable and clean hospital bed!
I had a five stars room with five stars everything including the very clean and spacious washroom with all amenities. Very comfortable to shower either while sitting or standing. This was worth the cost.😍😍😍😍😍
Met an Orthopaedic expert too who successfully diagnosed my knee condition after one year of GP visits without any conclusions.
I can only recommend that if you are looking for everything I have mentioned above while looking for surgery, look no further!
This hospital is fairly cheaper, too, compared to many in Turkey. Bookimed helped me choose this after comparing costs with a number of them best medical facilities in Turkey.

Meeting a doctor that knows exactly what your problem is, tells/shows you and explains what needs to be done and assures you he can fix it. Expertise and confidence! That gave me 100% hope that my hearing condition was reversible and pa👂 😃
At the orthopaedic, I was given a pictorial sheet for physical exercises for my knees, every text under each pic is in Turkish. For God's sake, we need to read this time and again to get the concept on our own after the translators or after leaving Turkey. 🤔
If only this hospital could have Prescription sheets and data in both English and Turkish without a patient having to ask for, this would lessen the burden placed on translators having to explain what a patient could just read for themselves had it been in English.
About Bookimed service
I had a choice of hospital to go to after an online search and reading their reviews, but this was way too expensive and one of the bookimed coordinators gave me a price lists which helped me compare cost and ended up in Hisar which was fair enough. Thank you very much, I am so greatful. 🙏
But, I had tooany coordinators from bookimed, I can not remember them all as the hospital also had too many coordinators texting me, very confusing! Kindly try to stick to one coordinator/patient from planning to exit please.
