Istanbul Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center: Patients Reviews and Experience

I had a septorhinoplasty with Dr Ergin Er at Istanbul aesthetics plastic surgery centre, and had an incredible experience!! Everyone was incredibly supportive and helpful. Elviira, my Bookimed coordinator, was amazing at answering any questions I had (which was a lot!) and making sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. I was checked up on after my visit and also when I returned after a few weeks, with full end-to-end support. I had a smooth transition to Yasin, my medical manager, who was flawless at arranging travel and all logistics and also incredibly helpful with aftercare instructions. I did not have to worry or take care of anything myself. The hospital was clean, modern and comfortable and made sure I was ok at all times. The staff were incredibly attentive and more than happy to help answer any questions I had and made sure I didn’t feel nervous going in. My husband who stayed with me throughout was also well taken care of (given meals and bedding to stay next to me overnight), which was hugely appreciated. My surgeon, Dr Ergin Er, was very professional and reassuring- I’ve previously had a septoplasty in the UK which he needed to correct as well as performing the rhinoplasty as we had planned. There were no hidden or extra costs and I’m finally able to breathe clearly (like I was supposed to when I had surgery in London). He clearly communicated realistic expectations and what would suit my face I’m currently almost a month postop and couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! He has done the most incredible job and it is better than I could’ve hoped for I can’t wait to see what it looks like as it heals further but he’s truly turned my biggest insecurity into my new favourite feature! The after-care was fantastic and the recovery process was very easy. All the staff at the hospital were incredible and took such great care of me which I couldn’t be more thankful for. Overall, I had an amazing experience and i’m so pleased with how it’s turned out. I was fully taken care of from the first message to now. Originally I was a bit nervous about travelling abroad for surgery and wasn’t sure what to expect but this whole process has been so easy and smooth that I would absolutely do it again and recommend it to others. Everyone was so supportive and great at calming my nerves and reassuring me throughout every step of the way. I couldn’t be more thankful to my surgeon and the rest of the team for the amazing work they did.

The wonderful Dr Ergin Er listened carefully to my wishes regarding surgery for my nose. He did a wonderful job and I am absolutely delighted with the result! The best assistant and interpreter of the doctor Varvara helped during the whole treatment, she translates into Russian qualitatively and quickly. Varvara and the doctor were always in touch with me after the operation, responding to my messages almost instantly. The medical staff was caring and friendly, help was provided promptly. The hospital prepared delicious food for me after the operation and I recovered quickly. Overall, the hospital is cosy and pleasant, everywhere is clean and sterile, the cleaners are meticulous about cleanliness. The result of the surgery is excellent, so I can rate the doctor the best I can. There was no preliminary discussion and 3-D modelling of the nose before the operation. This is a significant disadvantage. The medical staff fulfilled their duties: they gave me medicines, measured my blood pressure, but I had to ask them to constantly bring ice to apply to my face after the operation. After 10 pm and until the morning, no one brought ice for cold compresses on the face. The food in the hospital was quite simple, not tasty. There was no bottled water in the ward.

I definitely recommend the clinic! Everything went very well. The medical staff is great, they did everything for my comfort. The interpreter was always in touch with me, and she was always there in the clinic. The surgeon performed the operation completely at my request. The hotel had very tasty breakfasts, and each one was different (it was the first time I saw that breakfasts were not repeated). The room was very comfortable. Very good location of the hotel. Thanks also to the Bookimed platform, the coordinator Stanislav is very nice, he let me know everything clearly, answered all questions quickly. I recommend it!!!

Experienced staff, attention. Professionalism of the doctor at the highest level. Sensitive approach of the anastasiologist. Medical workers are attentive and caring. The clinic and wards are excellent. The driver and transport were excellent, everything was on time and in order. Varvara is an excellent interpreter, always in touch and our feedback is excellent. I chose Ergein for his surgical skills to carry out a rhinoplasty. I'm so disappointed with the result, I end up with a pig nose that doesn't fit my face very well. I hope it will get better but I'm having a very hard time of it and I'm very disappointed to have had this done. As for my translator, she wasn't there during the consultation to remove the bandages and I felt helpless when I saw the result in the mirror. The operation left me completely ugly.

Honestly, the best experience ever. I was so scared and skeptic about have a rhinoplasty in Turkey but Bookimed staff was beyond helpful 24/7 and the Istanbul Aestethic Center was the cleanest, best clinique. Doctor Gurhan saved my nose, an expert. He spoke very calm, explained me everything in English, asured me everything will be alright and i couldn t be more thankful for him and the entire clinique stuff. It is with great disappointment that I write this follow-up, nearly five months after what initially felt like a life-changing experience with Prof. Dr. Gurhan Ozcan and his team at Istanbul Aesthetic Center. As I previously shared, I was deeply impressed by the professionalism, warmth, and care I received from Dr. Ozcan, my medical coordinator Ege, and the clinic staff. The facility was state-of-the-art, and the process—from consultation to post-op—was smooth and reassuring. I underwent rhinoplasty on January 7th to correct a deviated septum, reduce nasal projection, and refine a bulbous tip. Initially, everything seemed to go well. However, as time passed, the reality began to set in. Now, at nearly the 5-month mark, when swelling and bruising have subsided—as expected—I am left with a visible and palpable bony bump at the root of the nasal pyramid, a deformity that did not exist prior to surgery. This is not residual swelling. It is clearly bone. Its presence is not only physically noticeable but emotionally distressing. My nose remains somewhat numb, particularly on the right side and at the tip. While some numbness can be typical during healing, the sensation hasn’t significantly improved in weeks, suggesting this may be a longer-term issue. The septum appears straighter, the overall projection was moderately reduced, and the bulbous tip was very slightly improved. But the new bony irregularity—right at the base of my nasal bridge—undermines the entire purpose of having undergone this procedure in the first place. I feel like I’ve exchanged one issue for another—arguably more visible—one. This has left me feeling disheartened, frustrated, and anxious. I followed all aftercare instructions meticulously, trusted the process, and waited patiently. I was hopeful, but now I feel disillusioned. I share this not out of anger, but out of the need for transparency—for myself, for others considering this clinic, and in the hope that my case is reviewed with the seriousness it warrants. A rhinoplasty should not introduce a new deformity where none existed before. I still have respect for Dr. Ozcan’s credentials and the team’s dedication. But results are what matter in the end—and in my case, the outcome has been deeply disappointing. They don't do 3D modeling. And this is very bad, because there is no way to see the final result. I had rhinoplasty and liked the results. And otoplasty, I’m not at all happy with the result, it feels like it’s gotten worse, now they’ve become very crooked, especially the terrible view from the back. but I hope when the swelling goes away, the situation will be a little better.

Daryna is an asset to bookimed, so thankful and lucky I got her as my medical coordinator. From beginning till end, she was truly there for me in every aspect. She was so professional yet very empathic, kind and reassuring. Her words followed through to my experience in Istanbul.
