Memorial Şişli Hospital: Patients Reviews and Experience

Many thanks to the Bookimed.com team for their efficiency and professionalism! This is not the first time I have used the services of this wonderful team and, as always, everything is smooth, fast and efficient. For my examination (thyroid biopsy) and Health Check Up, I was offered the Memorial Clinic (Istanbul) Memorial - A wonderful clinic, with world-class medical equipment and highly qualified, experienced doctors. The clinic provided me with a transfer to/from the airport. Upon arrival at the clinic, I was met by the coordinator-interpreter Lale, who was constantly with me all days during my examination and helped not only communicate with the doctors, but was also constantly in touch and resolved all my questions during a visit to the clinic. Despite the fact that there are a lot of patients in the clinic, all procedures and examinations were carried out on time, according to the previously provided schedule. Memorial Clinic truly provides world-class medical services. Thank you very much for your work and responsiveness! 🙏

Good afternoon. I liked the clinic, new, modern. Doctors and staff also make a good impression, I have no complaints. But my curator at the clinic gave me the address of one clinic, and on check-up she signed me up for another, because of this I had to change the hotel upon arrival so as not to drive through traffic jams every day. I lost money on hotel bills and taxi fares and it was very frustrating to deal with this attitude. The coordinator Daria, who worked with me, well done, was attentive. But the work of the girl who gave me the wrong address of the clinic, because of which I lost time and money, can only be assessed as a minus.

I'll start with the organizers from the bookimed website, they are terrible, a lady named Olga Tarnavskaya, promising all the appointments to the clinics, promising that their coordinator from the clinic would meet us, she lied as best she could. We were met by an interpreter who had no idea of our medical history, where should we start,. Olga Tarnavskaya was interested in how much money my parents and I were spending quietly so that after our departure we would know in advance how much interest we would receive. The staff of the memorial clinic turned out to be two times worse than these, a clinic that says we are 1st in Turkey and 21st in the world, the level of service is below the baseboard, The doctors are not bad, but for this money they are trying to knock you out as much as possible by driving you into all unnecessary rooms they don’t rip off real money, in Germany for this money you can be treated by good professors, you won’t be re-recorded 10 times like in a memorial, the girls at the receptions are a separate story, it feels like you owe them something, it’s not real are arrogant. I am not a competitor and not a paid review, I am a real person who does not advise going to this clinic for treatment.

We booked kids full check upp with Bookimed in Sisli Memorial Hospital! From the beginning, when I was looking wheee I can make this appointments, Bookimed been very helpful and professional, providing all the information what I asked! Well explain for me the prices and what included in that package! Bookimed arrange appointments for me, as well airport transfer ! On the day of my appointments, straight in the morning they send for me phone number of person who can help me in hospital and as well a phone number of our translater! As soon as we arrived we call them, and in few minutes they met us! During all our check ups our translater been with us! He was very professional and nice, providing all the information on each step of our check up! Plus he spoke Arabic language what is my husband native language! The hospital it self is very good, clean, with all new equipments! We deal with different doctors, from different departments, and all of them been very good, polite! Some spoke no bad English! They been very good with a kids , and make us feel very welcoming! No rush, they take a time to answer for all or questions and explain everything! As well as nice thing in the middle of our check ups, we got free vouchers for breakfast and coffee ( which was very good). In general we stay very happy with a service we received in the hospital, and from Bookimed team! They been always in contact with us, and following every step, from the moment we been looking for hospital, till the end of our check ups! I would recommend Bookimed as trustable company, providing good service! And I would recommend Memorial Hospital Sisli for a pediatririon check ups!

The translators are very unprofessional and they do to the work properly they don’t explain anything they rush you in everything till you pay the hospital the doctors explain very poor they don’t give you follow up you pay a lot of money for investigation but you come back unsure of all your diagnosis what they found.

Were examined in cardiology, gastroenterology and orthopedics. I liked the doctors, attentive, explained in detail. The prices are overpriced. It is more profitable to take a check-up than to see a specific specialist. Cardiological check-up with analyzes, ecg, stress test, appointment with a cardiologist, breakfast was also included - it came out 5 times cheaper. Also it all came out in one day. Orthopedics was very expensive, I liked the doctor, was attentive, explained in an accessible way, showed literally on his fingers. The clinic itself is clean, beautiful and modern. Results are ready within an hour or two. Lots of English and Russian speaking staff. All coherent measures are being followed. Of the minuses, it is organization and interaction with translators. The clinic is large, so you need to immediately contact the coordinator-translator. Meet, spend, etc. The patient is not assigned a specific translator, they are constantly changing, they translate in different ways, they had to wait for them for a very long time. From bookimed's recommendations, to contact translators via WhatsApp before the first visit. But in principle, in the "reception", if you can call it that, they speak English and tell you where to go.

They did not provide information about the preparation for the survey. (although I asked). The interpreter was distracted by another patient. (I had to wait!) The transfer waited 1.5 hours!.

I've visited Memorial Sisli Hospital for the VIP check up. Luckily, I've decided to make a booking through bookimed rather than directly as the company helped me later on when I experienced some problems at the hospital. It was very easy to make an appoitment and I'd like to thank Anton for patiently helping me to navigate through different hospitals and selecting the right package. Upon my arrival in Istanbul, bookimed organized a transfer to and from hotel to the hospital though due to the traffic there was some waiting time. Contact persons from Bookimed were always ready to answer any questions and provide support. In regard to the services provided by the hospital, I am generally satisfied with the VIP check up provided. Though following the tests I was referred for additional tests and consultations not covered by the package. I arrived the next day for the results and instead of in person consultation was told by an interpreter that all is well. I was very surprised with such level of services as I was requested to pay for the consultation of a professor a day before and instead received an oral statement from an interpreter. I've asked for a consultation with the professor as has been agreed before, but was told that she has left for the day. I then demanded a refund as I did not obtain a service, i.e. consultation of a professor. The hospital then sent a nurse to tell me that the tests were ok. I was still not satisfied as I was expecting a consultation from the doctor, not the nurse or an interpreter. In addition, as the therapist a day before raised concerns for me and sent me for these additional tests, I really wanted to clarify the situation and ask questions. Unfortunately, the hospital could not provide it as apparently there were no other doctors available in this field. This whole second day was a big disappointment as it seems the hospital staff did not care about helping me once I was done with the VIP check up, they also did not try to find alternative solutions. It felt as a scam, as the day before the doctor sends you for additional tests and then you do not get anything out of these tests - not a consultation. Only after repeated demands I was given a hand written note which said the tests were ok, but it did not look as a proper test results comparable to the ones I did a day before. Considering that additional tests and consultations were not cheap, I requested a refund. It took almost the whole day to obtain a refund, the hospital could no longer provide me with an interpreter neither in Russian nor in English and I felt disappointed. The interpreters who are assigned for check up were busy with other clients and could not attend to my situation. I was left waiting for about 4 hours while the hospital management was making a decision. Finally, with many thanks to an interpreter from Memorial Bahçelievler hospital, I believe her name was Olga, the situation was resolved. Olga showed herself as a professional and a very caring specialist. I managed to obtain my refund. I also appreciate the support bookimed provided throughout the situation. Once I left, there were some other test results that I expected to obtain in the next week. Unfortunately, it again took forever to get these results back and required bookimed to follow up on several occasions with the hospital. I do appreciate Barbara's follow up with me and her following up with the hospital. Overall, I am satisfied with the Check up service, but very dissatisfied with the follow up procedure and lack of consultation. I will not choose this particular hospital for future check ups, as if you're paying you should receive service and not deal with the issues and feel like a scam.

It was really nice to see such a good service specially the translator the doctors and nurses are so cool. The only thing is the welcome when you step in to the hospital there should be a system and the receiption to log your name and identify which department you need to go to to avoid any time wasting.
