Memorial Şişli Hospital: Patients Reviews and Experience

My arrival at Istanbul airport was smooth and efficient. I was met and transported to my hotel. My hotel was lovely. Transportation from hotel to hospitals on time and efficient. I met my advocate at international patient area, she had everything under control, all tests lined up and doctor appointments were fabulous. My advocate translated to my language at every appointment. I’m very happy with the service and I felt very “looked after”. My outcome is excellent and I’m so very glad I had the best doctor and best care.

Starting from the beginning. My international coordinator maurice did an amazing job in getting me the best doctor i needed for my procedure. Traveling to turkey 🇹🇷 was an incredible experience very excited. At memorial sisli hospital my local coordinator fatiha was very forthcoming with all the details, took care of everything. Then my translators Mohamed and beyza also very helpful and professionals great job helping me understand exactly what was being said. Last but not least. The most important part of the experience. Doctor.. Mustafa akarcay. He is the one that made this journey an amazing, wonderful, magnificent adventure. The doctor is top notch, did a wonderful job. The quality of the hospital service is second to none, with well-organised, highly competent services that are always available to patients. Whether it's the doctors, nurses or reception staff, many other hospitals should take inspiration from the Turkish hospital model. The hospitals are like luxury hotels, you feel good, you are looked after and followed throughout your stay. Finally, the money I spent there was really justified. Our son is 6 years old and has been diagnosed with ASD. We arrived at Memorial Şişli Clinic on Monday. On the same day, we had a consultation with Dr. Betül Tavil. The doctor carefully examined our son and immediately began asking questions, to which she seemed to already have some answers. This created an impression of a professional and well-prepared approach. After the consultation, the doctor recommended stem cell therapy. With our consent, the cells were ordered immediately, considering they would be delivered to the clinic within three days. On the same day, we provided four vials of blood. Three days later, the stem cell administration procedure took place. The total dose consisted of 50 million cells: 1% was administered into the spinal cord, and the remainder was given via intravenous infusion. The procedure itself lasted approximately 10–15 minutes and went smoothly. Afterward, a supportive IV drip was administered to the child. Overall, we stayed in the hospital for about 4–4.5 hours, after which we were discharged. At this point, we have observed no side effects in the child.

I am grateful to our translator Irina, who arranged an additional consultation with an ophthalmologist, and we received another opinion regarding my sister's vision. There is now hope that it will be possible to help her in the future. I hope that there will be new discoveries in the field of ophthalmology.

Having breast reduction and uplift surgery is something that I had wanted for numerous years but due to underlying health conditions I knew it wouldn't be straight forward. When I eventually made the decision I couldn't have made a better decision. From the initial contact and liason s from Bookimed to the transfers, hotel, hospital tests, surgery and post surgery support was more than I could have asked for. The interpreter Bayza was exceptional and made me feel relaxed throughout the process. The hospital staff and especially my surgeon Dr Kadriye who was so friendly and professional throughout. I honestly had an amazing experience. All my health issues were taken very seriously and accommodated for by giving me the relevant tests and aftercare. I would advise from my personal experience to take clothes that button or unzip after surgery .And my must have item would be my neck cushion that I took with me for after surgery for when you have to sleep upright. Memorial Sisli was outstanding. And I am so happy with outcome. Thankyou all . The photos were from the morning of surgery and the 7th day after.

There are certain issues with the hospital, in particular, the staff who are in no hurry and we had to spend the whole day in the hospital instead of a few hours - we waited, waited, and waited again..... But I really liked the Bukimed service - they helped, supported, organised everything in the best possible way. Thank you.

The hospital was fantastic, room was private, with all required amenities, cafe - lovely, everything was beautiful and clean. Staff were just so accommodating, my Doctor was knowledgeable, explained the procedure in detail. Honestly, I'm in awe from this experience. And even though I was coming in with a slight fear and a tiny panic attack, there was really no need to worry, everything is on a highest level! Thanks to all!

In July 2022, she had a consultation, examination and surgery at the Memorial Clinic. I thank the staff of the clinic, Professor Ilknur Bayraktar and, of course, the Bukmed team represented by Maria and translator Gulzar for their professionalism. Everything went smoothly.
