For the second time in a couple yearsI have had an outstanding experience @ Rio Grande Dental. Born with a cleft lip and palate, my teeth have been a dentists’ challenge forever. This time specialist Dr Gerardo Nuñez spent 5.5 hours straight carefully and gently reworking a difficult layout. A few days later another 2.5 hours creatively installing 14 individual Full Contour Zirconium crowns and a bridge. They look like all natural teeth with a look I haven’t had since another long braces and reconstruction 4 decades ago. AND at an affordable cost more than $25,000 LESS than quoted by my local dentists. All without having to do several extractions and implants which local dentists were going to do. Amazing work. Thank you.

I emailed ahead and was given a price and length of time that the procedures i needed done would take. I planned my trip accordingly and when i arrived at the clinic the doctor told me one thing, and then i was led back out into the office and the receptionist called me back with a completely different plan, and then the doctor told me yet a third plan. So I agreed to have X-rays, a cleaning, and trays taken of the impressions of my teeth. They never did my cleaning which they did not charge me for. It seemed like from one minute to the next they did not know what i was there for. Finally it seemed as if they were more concerned with rotating the patients thru and getting them all back to their hotels than they were with actually completing the treatments. I also never received the 12% discount for paying with cash and I never received any discount on the roach motel they referred us to, would never have stayed there otherwise. I payed roughly 400$ (total trip costs) for nothing. Completely unprofessional. AVOID THIS DENTAL OFFICE. If i could give a negative star rating i would.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - ALL WORK REDONE IN LESS THAN A MONTH! BEWARE! And, found out the material they used for my ill-fitting crowns, is not CZ but some cheap material not hard enough and would have cracked in less than a year. I'm reporting this dentist to the authorities.

I was anxious because I live in Canada and having dental work done in Mexico seemed daunting. There really was no reason to worry. The staff are very friendly and make you feel like part of the family. Their professional dentistry skills are excellent and unsurpassed. I am very pleased with the outcome. I had five root canals and five crowns performed here. They saved teeth they told me in Canada needed extraction. My teeth look stunning. At one tenth of the cost in Calgary in Canada. You can have a Hollywood smile here. I guarantee. The facility is minimalistic, not the stylish designer offices in Canada. Then again you pay ten times more for the decor and the convenience of not travelling. At Rio Grande even though the facility is minimalist it is very clean and perfect hygiene. Try to overlook the minimalism and realize the staff have the very highest professional skills. And I felt in Canada I was being milked and I had to keep coming back and paying more and more. And far too many dentists I find in Canada have shockingly poor skills and poor hygiene. To find a good dentist in Canada or anywhere is rare. At Rio Grande they are honest, and genuinely care about you. As low as the cost is at Rio Grande they make sure not to add any additional charges. What they quote you is what you pay. I spent even less than I had expected. As to safety. I stayed in El Paso and Rio Grande Dental’s driver drove me back and forth. I did not wander off in Juarez. And I feel like this I was 100% safe. I highly recommend trusting Rio Grande Dental. I am sure you will be very pleased. I am 100% satisfied and they exceeded my expectations.Just to be clear my dental work at Rio Grande was performed between March 5 and 8 of this year 2018. I have a Spanish name but I was raised in South Africa, with excellent medical and dental professionals, and moved to Canada many years ago. What I write is my own opinion and I am in no way associated with Rio Grande. It is simply my honest opinion, a few days after work was completed and I am back in Canada. Also remember the old saying. Do not judge a book by its cover. A good attitude and a little bravery goes a long way.It is now almost one year. Thought I would update. The work done has remained in good stead, no issues. So I remained very pleased. I have eaten steak and hard nuts without any issues. My medical aid refunded over 90% of the cost. And in reality I paid little more than my flight and hotel. In retrospect too it was an adventure. And I would definitely return. I have come to increasingly trust Mexico on medical expertise in all fields. I need that because out of pocket costs in North America are far too high for anyone but the very wealthy. So I will not only be travelling to Mexico for the occadional sunshine and beach but for any medical needs as they arise.
