Treatment with Gamma Knife is conducted at Asklepios Radiosurgery Center. A radiologist and neurosurgeon perform the procedure.
The irradiation does not require making incisions and is entirely painless. Doctors apply soft sedation to make a patient feel comfortable. A special helmet is used to fix the patient’s head to exclude movements. It increases the accuracy of treatment.
The duration of therapy is from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Gamma Knife procedure cost depends on the disease and session duration.
