Smell is our oldest sense; it is closely linked to memories and ancient conditionings that often influence our behavior unconsciously. The root chakra, Muladhara, governs the earth element within us, establishing a strong connection with our inner self. This chakra radiates positivity and joy into our lives and addresses our primary needs for survival, stability, and support, serving as the foundation of our existence. A balanced Muladhara can impart emotional strength in the face of fear and anxiety, making us feel grounded and secure. The color associated with the first chakra is red, while its Bija Mantra is OM LAM.
