A patient is under local anesthesia and remains awake. During this procedure a doctor implants electrodes into the brain of a patient. The electrodes need to stimulate the parts of the brain and eliminate or remove the symptoms of the disease. If the electrodes work correctly, doctors change temporary neurostimulator into a constant one.
