The staff is great. At the moment, we are waiting for the results of the tests, since the wrong diagnosis was made in Ukraine. In Ukraine, sarcoma was treated for 7 months and it is gone. We are not saying that there is no oncology, but the fact that there is no sarcoma is already pleasing. Received very nicely and politely. The coordinators are Russian-speaking. Every day they keep track of all matters. Those who passed the tests were not left alone for a single minute. Currently, we are waiting for a meeting with an oncologist and a radiologist. I recommend

Assuta Hospital is the largest clinic of private ownership in Israel. It develops a lot of medical directions and is highly specialized in surgery, IVF, cardiology (the use of VenaSeal, Cryo and MICRA and other innovative techniques) and oncology. The main distinguishing feature of this medical institution is a high level of attentiveness to the patient’s needs. The option of a surgical operation, an attending physician and a type of the room is not the complete list of things left up to the choice of the patient.

Hello, I had 2 melanomas detected, they cut me out, then I found this clinic on the Internet, I applied because I had an ultrasound of the lymph nodes in my groin and under my arm. They met me at the clinic, took me to Dr. Bernstein’s office, and the ultrasound showed good results, thank you very much, good service, I am satisfied.

Hello! My husband was treated at the University Hospital Hadassah. He has liver cancer. He is extremely impressed with the quality of medical care, the attention of professors Daniel Shuval, Alan Bloom, Ayal Hubert and their colleagues. He is grateful for the care of him. We had the opportunity to choose treatment in 5 leading hospitals in the world. And we are glad that by choosing HADASS we made the best and the right choice. Because this hospital has world-class medical care. But this would not have happened if it had not been for the wonderful organization and work of the specialists from the International Department who have been helping us all the time. With all my heart I thank everyone who helped and continues to help Pavel Kalchev in his fight against cancer. I wish all HADASS specialists health. Health for their families. Depending on the bone cells transforming into the cancerous cells, the specialists identify the following types of bone cancer:

  • Chondroma is affection of the spine or skullbones by tumor, is the primary cancer;
  • Chondrosarcoma is a primary cancer of the cartilaginous tissue;
  • Osteosarcoma is a primary oncological disease covering pelvic or limb bones;
  • Ewing's sarcoma is a cancer developing in the long bones;

  • Fibrosarcoma affects connective tissues and then spread to the bone tissue;
  • Histiocytoma is a cancer of soft tissues;
  • Multiple myeloma is an oncological disease in the bone marrow cells and secondary cancer affects the bones.

According to the statistics on bone cancer, men of 20-30 years old are the most vulnerable.

Diagnostics of bone cancer in Israel

In Israel, specialists diagnose bone cancer both at the early stages and if disease is neglected in a few days after treatment in a clinic. With modern high-tech methods of examination and laboratory tests the patient receives a full picture of the situation and the ability to pass an effective and sparing program of treatment based on the results of the examination. On the first 1-2 days doctors detect the stage of the disease and on the following days they make the therapy regimens. Effective methods of examination in Israel are the following:

1st day

  • Consultation of a leading specialist in a clinic;
  • CT and MRI for the diagnostics of tumors of the spine and spinal cord;
  • Biopsy (inspection of the glasses patient took with him/herself or repeated for control);
  • PET-CT.

2nd day

  • Angiography;
  • Scintigraphy.

The diagnostic program includes additional procedures as per indications if there is a need to spread the area after searching the pathology.

In the first instance the stage of bone cancer is determined. The stage depends on the choice of treatment program:

Stage 1 of bone cancer

Stage 2

The tumor is limited by focus, its size is about 7-8 cm or less. High chances of a cure.

Tumor continues to grow with no metastasis. The chances of cure are high, but they depend on right treatment programs.

Stage 3

Stage 4 of bone cancer

Cancer cells adhere to underlaying organs and tissues and tissues can be a complication of a fractured bone. The chances of a cure are average and depend on the body's response to therapy, the patient's general condition and the qualification and experience of the doctor.

Tumor process actively effects on the function of other organs and systems, metastases are found in other organs. The chances of a cure are low, but the palliative treatment gives a high probability of extending the patient's life and improving its quality.
