"We are very happy with the doctor Sinan and Zahida curator, they are very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable people
Bookimed handed over our documents to Anadolu and the next day we were contacted by the curator Zakhida from Anadolu. The curator sent us a list of hotels with whom Anadolu cooperates under the contract (discount for Anadolu patients), made a reservation and organized a transfer from the airport to the hotel, made an appointment with doctors, for tests, PET CT, etc. and sent us a schedule for November 8. We arrived on November 7, we were met by a transfer from Anadolu and taken to the hotel. The next day, November 8, we went to Anadolu, we were met in the hall by the curator Zahida and the translator Muhamed. Our doctor Sinan. Analyzes, Pet CT, MRI, ultrasound of the heart and even the review of slides, the results are prepared quickly. Read more less

Hello everybody. Thanks to the Clinic for a successful operation. To the Neurosurgeon Mustafa Onaz and Professor Gohan. We are diagnosed with Brain cancer, the last stage, malignant. The tumor was twice as large. They saved my husband's life. Masha Allah. The operation was 8-9 hours. they deleted everything, I consider this a record. It was a difficult operation. Well done. At our KZ they could not remove everything that was, only a small part was removed and that's it. I bow to you. At the expense of the clinic. Service At the Highest Level. "The result of the consultation was more than satisfactory
The most basic and most important is the medical equipment for a complete high-quality diagnosis. A small minus is the very low quality of the Internet, from the wishes: the possibility of placing on the territory of a small street sports complex. The territory of the clinic, the ward, the clinic itself comply with all modern world standards. Read more less

"He is very happy that he finally got rid of the cancer using the da Vinci robot
The Medipol Clinic in Istanbul was recommended to me by bookimed specialists. I was very pleased with the additional service. We were met with my father at the airport and taken to the guest house, which was provided by the hospital free of charge, as well as free 3 meals a day, not only for my father, but also for me. Every day a car came for us to take us to the clinic, as well as to take us back. We were provided with the services of an interpreter. Translator Murat turned out to be a very good person, he told everything and helped absolutely everything. operas atsiyu. Everything went fine, he is very happy that he finally got rid of the cancer using the da Vinci robot. The staff after the operation behaved very courteously and neatly. Read more less

I am delighted with their work
Thank you for everything being fine. Of course there were cons, but in general everything was fine. I really liked it, the meeting was organized, Medipol worked harmoniously. The managers from the clinic helped completely. There is a room with three meals a day, the room is clean, they did not require additional payment. The clinic is very specialized, individual approach to each patient, polite and attentive. Many thanks also to Dmitry and the coordinators in the clinic. Irada, Ainur, Timur, Iran many thanks to each of them for their help with any question and help at any time of the day. In general, I liked everything very much and the quality of work, they move as a single mechanism. Thank you, I am delighted with their work. Read more less

Everything is very well organized, fast communication between the doctor, translator, and financial department. We had a problem with housing, they didn’t abandon us at night, the clinic staff helped. We did an examination, so I can’t say about the results of the treatment yet. The facilities at the clinic are wonderful, we consulted with 2 doctors, we have a diagnosis and a treatment method. The radiologist is competent and specialist, but not verbose. I didn’t have enough explanations about the risks, etc., the plastic surgeon explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, he was a very nice person. The organization of the trip is at the highest level, the organization is impressive. The diagnosis has been made, treatment methods have been determined, we plan to come for treatment in six months, because the prices are too expensive for us. I can write about the quality of treatment after treatment.

When they learned what was needed in the clinic, they didn’t even know where to run and whom to contact. Coordinators helped to select a clinic. They gave us a doctor. Everything went great, the doctor is a true professional.  Separately, I want to note the attitude to patients. We were met at the airport, brought to the clinic and there was already a translator waiting. Literally "by the hand" we were taken to the doctors, everyone translated. Then they provided a taxi to the hotel.   During the operation, the ward was provided for two people - for the patient and the attendant; both of them were included in the cost of the operation.   After surgery, the doctor held a consultation, making sure that you can fly back. And only then answered questions remotely that arose.  Clinic definitely recommend

My hair transplant and my wife rhinoplasty, it was great. Also we did our teeth, they butchered my teeth, I did not know they were going to shave down all my teeth, I had a very good teeth but I want to better, the dentist said you have a nice teeth, but never told me not to do, when did the teeth they put treaty together like a bridge, versus doing one at a time, now I do not have space between them, besides completely ruined my teeth, they didn’t do the proper way, he and Brazil I went to see a dentist and they told me this technique is prohibited here because they did butchered my wife in my mouth, both of us did our teeth. I had another big problem with my liposuction, very bad side effects, because I didn’t have enough fat, but Dr. Baki did with out even looking my body. My surgery was done Saturday, I called them on Monday but no one saw me until Wednesday, I finally saw the doctor and he said nothing to worry about that was normal, for sure it was nothing normal about the surgery, I sent pictures to doctors all of them sad that I need to take care of that and I couldn’t even travel, Dr. Baki sad in 40 years he never saw such a thing, but he said that was going to be fine, I travel back the following Friday to Brazil, I went to see a plastic surgeon, he said that I almost died, thank God I’m here, they did not care about my health, horrible communication with the doctor, when I spoke to a few people that takes care of the patients there, they told me that they would get right back to me, they would not get back to me for 10 hours, that’s for me was crazy. When I set up the appointment, I really want to talk to Hakan, they told me that I would do with him but they offer me Dr. Baki and I told them I did not want Dr. Baki that I wanna dr. Hakan, The day that I was supposed to see Hakan They told me that he had Covid and he could not do my surgery, I thought was weird, so they told me Dr. Baki was going to do my surgery and Dr. Baki was much better surgeon, I didn’t feel good about this but I went anyway. I reached out to Dr. Hakan and found out that he never had Covid and also I never had an appointment with him and that he was booked out. So I’m not sure if I would recommend them, I’m spending money after the surgery and they didn’t even offer to pay part of it, it is almost 2 weeks after my surgery and I’m still bruised all over and I’m really in bad situation. Did 2 Stars was giving because the booking team they are unbelievable nice and they do deserve 10 stars, but the people they assigned me had few things that I didn’t like it push a different doctor, and also the doctor did not do a good job . I do not recommend I will post pictures, also I will post pictures of my teeth before and after

FAQ about Proton therapy for prostate cancer in Turkey

What is proton therapy for prostate cancer?

Proton beam therapy for prostate cancer is a treatment option when proton particles target cancer cells directly. Proton therapy delivers high-dose and very precise irradiation to malignant cells with minimal damage to healthy tissues.

When is proton therapy indicated for prostate cancer treatment?

Proton therapy is prescribed to treat prostate cancer in case:

  • low, intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer without remote metastases
  • to precisely irradiate pelvic nodes and the prostate gland
  • prostate cancer recurrence after radical prostatectomy
  • when irradiation of standard radiotherapy can be harmful to vital organs.

What are the benefits of proton therapy for prostate cancer?

Prostate cancer treatment with proton therapies has such advantages:

  • very precise high-dose irradiation of cancer cells in the tumor gland and surrounding tissues without harm to healthy vital organs as the rectum or bladder
  • a patient does not need an admission — it is an outpatient procedure
  • proton beam therapy is painless and causes less side effects than standard radiotherapy or chemo.

What factors affect cost of proton therapy for prostate cancer?

The proton therapy cost for prostate cancer is calculated individually for each case. The price is affected by many aspects, among them are:

  • the location of proton beam therapy center. Proton therapy hospitals are located only in a few countries in the world. In spite of the similar level of treatment, the cost of proton therapy for prostate cancer ranges in different countries due to their general price policy and a living wage of citizens. For example, cost of proton therapy for prostate cancer in the USA is 2-3 times more expensive than in Europe or South Korea, and about 5 times than in India.
  • The number of proton therapy cycles and treatment duration. Each case is individual. The treatment can last from several days to weeks — it depends on the disease stage and the patient's health condition. So, the higher amount of proton therapy cycle is required, the more expensive treatment is. Only a doctor can determine the final price of prostate cancer treatment with proton beam therapy.
