Mammography is the main method for diagnosing breast cancer, which allows you to determine the pathology before the onset of symptoms with an accuracy of 92% .

I wanted to go too small because my whole life I hated my breasts but he explained to me the best option and I love my results. I’m emotional thinking of how my dream came true, only someone with big saggy boobs can understand this. I feel like a whole new person. This is life changing, All dresses and tops I couldn’t wear I can now wear. I won’t have to struggle looking for bras that fit. No more bruises from bra straps, back pain when I sit…endless. I enjoyed my experience, it was a solo trip that I needed and it’s incredible how someone’s life can change in just one day. My after care is not complicated, I’m just following the instructions, trying not lift anything heavy and I’m healing so well. The after pictures I took them on my seventh day after Dr Ergin removed the tapes I had from surgery. I spent 6 days in Veyron hotel and came back on the 7th day. It is so important for the patient to be able to communicate with the manager at any time: to talk, consult, discuss personal issues and possible risks. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Before finding you, I had experience communicating with two organizations that provide services in the field of medical tourism, but unfortunately, commerce and the desire to sell specific specialists without options is alarming and does not inspire confidence at all. On the other hand, I’m even glad that I had such a short communication experience, especially since I was able to evaluate the capabilities of Bookimed! I understand that for the reader my review may be similar to an ode of praise, but as they say, “you can’t erase words from a song.”))) Therefore, I can only continue to talk about how it was in my specific case. Thanks to the Khizar clinic for a luxurious spacious room with floor-to-ceiling windows, an additional sofa for visitors, as well as delicious meals three times a day. It would seem difficult to surprise us with high-quality Turkish service in a hotel, but when your stay in the clinic is exactly the same as in a hotel, it is much more valuable at a time when you are absolutely alone in a foreign country and your physical capabilities are temporarily limited. Everything was thought out to the smallest detail: it so happened that I arrived for the operation unaccompanied, with a small backpack. This was extremely important for me: everything I could need was provided or was already available in my favorite room opposite the reception. The operation was scheduled for the afternoon, so the most difficult time was at night. The nurse who was on night duty did a tremendous job and until 6 am did everything as required according to the protocol after the operation. Yes, you can say, how could it be otherwise, you paid the money and it should be so, but you and I know very well that no one has canceled the human factor, and patients in this state after surgery cannot always read carefully in English doctor's recommendation language. Therefore, I send rays of love to this Great Man!!! Every 40 minutes He applied cold compresses, fed me even at night, and then took me for a walk along the long corridor of the clinic. This is an invaluable experience for me, not only because it is important for rehabilitation and health, but also for my personal faith in people. Low bow to the doctor for his professionalism, ability to listen to the patient and a high-quality operation. I would also like to thank Gulshirin Beshimova for the opportunity to make my stay in Turkey as comfortable as possible. Just as theater begins with a coat rack, so in my case Istanbul greeted me with a friendly smile from the driver and a luxurious car. It is impossible not to mention Alpay. I’ve been driving for 20 years, but I’ve never seen anyone pay such attention to the car and the passengers sitting in the back seat: TV, music from all over the world, water of different temperatures, drinks, napkins, a footrest for comfortable feet, and even a fresh bouquet of herbs to scent the salon! I had such an amazing experience, firstly I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Linda. We spoke lots before I came and she answered all my questions and made me feel really at ease before I travelled. She sent a vip car to the airport to collect me and gave the driver a big bag of snacks and drinks and sweets for me which was so nice of her. I arrived to my hotel which was beautiful 5 star, the staff were so nice and didn’t let me lift a finger. The next morning Linda sent another VIP car to collect me and bring me to the hospital where she was there to meet me with her lovely kind smiling face. She stayed with me all day until I had my operation in the evening, she knew how anxious I was and tried to take my mind off it by sitting chatting laughing with me, it really worked! The nurses in the hospital were so kind and helpful, although they’re was a language barrier this didn’t matter they understood me as a human and took great care of me. One of the nurses even ordered me a kebab when I woke from my operation as I could not do it from my phone I tried to give her the money but she refused I will never forget this girl she was so nice. Linda came to collect me the next day and i returned to my hotel to rest, i told her that i had poor sleep in the hospital and she got me some medication to help with this along with lots of other medication and essentials from the pharmacy she really did think of everything. On these next few days i continued to have support from Linda, she came to my hotel with the doctor to remove my bandages and also helped me to wash my hair as I wasn’t able to do it alone. I honestly don’t know how I would have got through the whole process without Linda, she is an amazing lady and deserves a lot of credit for what she does. She has such a kind caring nature about her and I instantly knew that I could trust her. I spoke with her about some other procedures I would like done and she took my photos to discuss with the doctors and Is preparing a plan for me at the moment, I honestly could not ask for better care this time so I will 100% be returning for my other treatments later in the year. I trust Linda with my life and I would recommend Asya hospital for any treatment. Thankyou so much to all the doctors nurses and people behind the scenes that made this all possible, I finally have my confidence back and I’m looking forward to my future (something I wasn’t able to do for a long time) I’m forever grateful to you all ❤️

Hello, my name is Vladislav Ivanov, Ukraine, Odessa city. In February 2021, my daughter Vlada was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma, we went to the doctors for a week trying to find out why the child started having severe headaches. They went through examinations, did an MRI, and as a fact, they found a brain tumor. That's when the ground slipped from under my feet. Realization has come - this has already happened, which means you need to quickly take action. The first thing we did was go to the children's hospital in Kyiv, the child was given a shunt. But unfortunately, fluid began to collect in my head and my vision began to fall sharply. The doctors explained that an operation was urgently needed. We did not have a large accumulated amount, and we decided to complete the operation abroad. We contacted Bookmed. We contacted the employee Marina. Marina quickly found a clinic for us in Turkey, organized a trip for us, flew to Turkey in a matter of days. The hospital was already waiting for us. Examined, took blood for tests and the next day an operation was scheduled. Everything went well. Then they underwent a course of radiotherapy. The results are positive, we were sent home to Ukraine (August 2021). Every 3 months they underwent MRI, the pictures were good .. But a year later, in March 2022, we heard the terrible words “relapse”, “war”. Hastily collected the necessary documents and left for Lviv. From there, by large buses, all children with cancer began to be taken out along the humanitarian corridor from Ukraine to Europe. The daughter and his wife were assigned to France. A second operation was performed, the tumor was removed, and after that a course of chemotherapy was prescribed. After a month of taking the course, the doctor said that chemotherapy was not helping. The doctor suggested experimental chemotherapy, but that didn't help either. As a result, the daughter is getting worse and worse every day. The child began to walk badly, the right leg and handle practically do not work. The child melted before my eyes. Indications for diagnostic mammography:

Types of mammography:

film ( images are stored on film); digital (computer) - a more modern type of mammography, in which images are made in digital form with the possibility of highlighting suspicious areas; 3D (tomosynthesis) - cross-sectional image of breast tissue.

Preparing for a mammogram

Mammography is recommended to take place within 7 days after the end of menstruation.

The day before the procedure, do not use deodorant / antiperspirant, talcum powder, cream and other types of cosmetics in the chest and armpits. This is due to the fact that cosmetic substances distort the results of the study, appearing on the mammogram in the form of microcalcifications.

If you have had a mammogram before, take the test results with you and show your doctor.

Be sure to tell the mammologist:

  • about your pregnancy;
  • about previous breast surgeries;
  • about breast implants.

The course of the procedure

The patient must undress to the waist and remove metal jewelry.

The doctor tightly fixes the breast between the plates of the mammograph to take x-rays (mammograms) of the glands in two projections. Compression (compression) of the breast is necessary in order to evenly distribute the gland tissue and reduce the radiation dose. At the same time, the special structure of the apparatus ensures that radiation reaches the chest, excluding the effects of rays on the body.

To reduce the likelihood of smearing the picture, at the command of the doctor, you should hold your breath for a couple of seconds.

The procedure takes 20-30 minutes. On modern digital mammographs, the image is transferred to a computer.

For early diagnosis of breast cancer, international protocols recommend a resolution of at least 20 pixels per mm².
