I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Hisar Hospital Intercontinental in Istanbul for the high professionalism, attentiveness and care shown at every stage of my treatment.
I underwent hysteroscopic removal of several endometrial polyps, including one large one measuring 3 cm. Everything went perfectly - from the initial consultation to the surgery and post-operative care.
Special thanks to my doctor - Op. Dr Berna Buse Kobal. She inspired confidence from the very beginning, explained everything calmly and clearly, acted very carefully and confidently. After the operation I felt great, without pain or discomfort. The nurses and all the staff of the clinic were very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere in the hospital is clean, modern, comfortable and absolutely safe.
I would also like to thank Julia, a Bookimed employee, who helped me with counselling and organising the trip. We made the decision literally at the last moment: we were informed from Dushanbe in the evening, flew out at night, and already in the morning I was in the clinic. Everything was organised perfectly - meeting, hospitalisation, surgery on the same day, and in the evening I was already relaxing in the hotel and feeling great.

Excellent experience. I traveled from Mexico to have cochlear implant surgery. First of all, I found this hospital thanks to the attention of Bookimed, they attended me very well, got the best option and started the whole process.
At the beginning I was obviously a little bit afraid that everything was real and correct and with good results, it was the first time I used this kind of medical tourism. I searched many countries and options and found the best deal through Bookimed at Hisar Hospital in Istanbul at the best price. Now that it's all over, I am pleasantly surprised and grateful to everyone who took care of me. I am impressed with how well they have organized everything for international patients. From the transportation, to the airport-hotel-airport, hotel-hospital-hotel, in all the appointments I had, more than 3 times in two weeks. The international department assigned me one and sometimes two translators, all were very well behaved, Dr. Yabuz Selim very attentive and professional, the hospital was excellent, the package included two nights accommodation in a room with two rooms, and meals for patient and companion. Pre-operative studies, post-operative follow-up, and only the agreed amount was paid from the beginning, not a dollar more we had to pay. I had never had this experience in a hospital before. The whole procedure was fast and without complications, they checked me 3 more times without any problem. They helped me resolve all my doubts and concerns, always with excellent response through whatsapp. I sincerely recommend and thank everyone involved in Hisar Hospital. I hope I never have to go back, but if I need to, I will not even look elsewhere.

Prof. Dr. Erkan Yıldırım; was born in 1968. He graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu High School in 1986. He graduated from Anadolu University, Faculty of Medicine in 1992. He completed his internship in Denizli in 1993.
In 1998, he completed his assistant training in Thoracic Surgery at Siyami Ersek Thoracic, Cardiovascular Surgery Center in Istanbul and Atatürk Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Center in Ankara.
Prof. Dr. Erkan Yıldırım completed his military service in the Thoracic Surgery Clinic at Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 1999.
He started working as a specialist in the Thoracic Surgery Clinic at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital in 2000. He became the chief assistant (senior specialist) in the same hospital in 2001. As an observer thoracic surgeon, he worked at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) in 2002, at the University of Toronto (Canada) in 2004, at the University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2008, and at Kyoto University (Japan) in November 2012.
In 2002, he successfully passed the European Qualification Examination in Thoracic Surgery at the 10th Congress of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) and became a member of the European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons (FETCS).
Prof. Dr. Erkan Yıldırım received the Turkish Thoracic Surgery Qualification Certificate in 2003.
In 2007, he successfully completed the scientific file stage of the “Associate Professor Examination” in Thoracic Surgery.
Between 2007 – 2008, he completed his fellowship in LUNG TRANSPLANTATION (University of Toronto, TORONTO LUNG TRANSPLANT PROGRAM / CANADA; actively participated in 85 recipient patient surgeries and nearly 100 donor organ procurement procedures, as well as 4 clinical studies (one study is entirely his project)).
In January 2009, he became the owner of the FIRST clinical overseas study published in Turkey on “Lung Transplantation” (“Techniques of lung transplantation and lung volume reduction surgeries” (Proc Am Thorac Soc. 2009 Jan 15;6(1):66–78).
He has been a reviewer for the Turkish Journal of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery (TGKDC) and the European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery (EJCTS) since 2002.
He actively conducts four patent studies in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Boğaziçi University.
He has numerous presentations and participations in 37 international and 19 national congresses.
