Dr. Manuel Rodrigo Prieto Aldape is a highly experienced Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeon based in Guadalajara, Mexico, with over 21 years of surgical experience and more than 3,500 successful procedures. He is board-certified in General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery by the Mexican Board of General Surgery and the Mexican College of Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases (CMCOEM).

Dr. Prieto holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Sciences and advanced training in Bariatric and Hernia Surgery. He completed his General Surgery residency at the Civil Hospital of Guadalajara and has served as Chief of the Bariatric Surgery Unit at the same institution.

He is a recognized academic and educator, having trained dozens of surgical residents and delivered lectures at national and international congresses on bariatric and metabolic surgery. Dr. Prieto has also served as President of the College of General Surgeons of Jalisco, Scientific Section Coordinator for Bariatric Surgery at the Mexican Association of General Surgery, and is currently Head of the Education Committee of the Mexican College of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (2023–2025).
