Dr. Giorgia Mangili is the Head of the Medical Gynecological Oncology Group at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute Hospital since 2002. She has a degree in general medicine and specialties in gynecology and obstetrics, oncology, and is an Associate and Professor in obstetrics and gynecology. She focuses her work on gynaecological oncology, rare gynaecological tumours, preservation of fertility in oncology and cancer and pregnancy. She is a member of the European Organisation for Treatment of Trophoblastic Diseases, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology, and the Italian Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

Dr. Francesco Bandello is a distinguished ophthalmologist, known for his extensive research and contributions in the field of retinal diseases. He has authored numerous articles and books, and has been honored with several awards for his outstanding work. He has been a principal investigator in multiple clinical trials and is actively involved in various professional organizations.

Doctor Alessandro Aiuti is the Head of the Pediatric Immunohematology Unit at the San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan. He has a degree in Hematology from the University of Milan, a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Rome, and is a University Professor and researcher in Hematology, Immunology and Pediatrics. He has conducted numerous clinical research and trials in gene therapy in cooperation with various organizations, and has received several awards for his research.

Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery with European Board qualifications. Head of mini-invasive thoracic surgery unit, specializing in the treatment of lung and pleural diseases and mediastinal disorders. Member of Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery and Thoracic Endoscopy, as well as author of a monograph and over 200 scientific publications.

Professor Riccardo Rosati is the Head of the Gastrointestinal Surgery (GI) Department at the San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan, Italy. He is a highly experienced surgeon with over 30 years of experience, having completed medical degrees in general medicine and general surgery, as well as specialization in thoracic surgery. He is a member of multiple surgical associations, and has written over 300 publications. His department treats approximately 2,000 surgical cases per year.

Professor Antonino Spinelli is the Director of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Humanitas Research Hospital.

The Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery is one of the most important centres for colorectal disease, especially for procedures of sphincter preservation for rectal tumours, but also for chronic inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn disease, ulcerative rectal colitis…) and the surgical treatment of diverticular pathologies. 

Professor Spinelli carries out a constant research on minimally invasive surgeries, including the single-port surgery, mini-laparoscopy, low-impact surgery and trans-anal techniques (TATME, TAMIS, TTSS). Furthermore, the advanced postoperative recovering is another area of his interest.

He graduated as MD in 2001 at University of Milano. During his education, he won several scholarships: he trained ad University of Berlin Charitè for two years at the Department of General, Visceral and Transplantation Surgery. Also, he obtained his PhD on Surgical Phsyiopathology with a dissertation on enhanced recovery for laparoscopic colorectal surgery in 2011. 

Current Teaching Activity: he is Full Professor of Surgery at Humanitas University. 

Also, Professor Spinelli is general Secretary of the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) and Board Member of the Guidelines Committee (GulCom) of the European Crohn Disease and Colitis Organization (ECCO). He is Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery (FASCRS), Honorary Fellow of the Czech Society of Surgery (CSS) and Honorary Member of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (CBCD). 

He is a member of the International Organization for the study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IOIBD) and several other national and international scientific societies. 

In addition, Professor Spinelli serves as Associate Editor for Colorectal Disease (Journal of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain & Ireland, Royal College of Surgeons of England, of the European Society of Coloproctology and of the Spanish Society of Coloproctology – Asociación Española de Coloproctología), Diseases of the Colon and Rectum (official journal of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons), Journal of the Anus, Rectum and Colon (official journal of the Japan Society of Coloproctology).

He is Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Crohn’s Colitis (official journal of the European Crohn’s Colitis Organization), Advisory Board of Coloproctology (official journal of the German Society for Coloproctology – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Koloproktologie) and Editorial Board Member of Updates in Surgery (official journal of the Italian Society of Surgery – Società Italiana di Chirurgia).

 

Dr. Caterina Lania is an experienced consultant in Andrology and Urology at San Raffaele Hospital, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of male and female urogenital pathologies. She is a graduate of the University of Milan and has authored over 150 scientific articles. She regularly attends national and international industry congresses.

Dr. Andrés J.M. Ferreri is a medical oncologist with over 300 scientific papers published related to lymphoma treatment. He is a Deputy Director at the Hematology Oncology Department and Director of the Lymphoma Unit at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, as well as Founder of the Italian Lymphoma Foundation. He is a member of various prestigious medical organizations and a Contract Professor of Oncology at the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele.

Professor Michele Reni is an experienced medical oncologist with over 30 years of practice based in Italy. He specializes in pancreatic adenocarcinoma, gastro-esophageal cancers, and central nervous system tumors. He has published over 180 papers on cancer treatment and is the coordinator of Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) guidelines for treatment and management of pancreatic cancer. He has also chaired numerous clinical trials on treating patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Francesco Bedogni is an Interventional Cardiologist at San Donato Hospital in Milan and a European proctor for TAVI and MITRACLIP. He is a board member of the Italian Society of Interventional Cardiology and is responsible for multiple clinical studies and position papers.

Dr. Alessandro Frigiola is an experienced cardiologist and cardiac surgeon in Italy, renowned for his success in heart-related procedures. He remains an active member in interventions in different countries.

Professor Fabio Carmignani is a specialist in andrology, urology, and prostatic biopsy under MRI guidance. He has been the Director of the Urology Department at Policlinico San Donato Research Hospital in Milan since 2007 and has over 10,000 surgeries to his credit. He has a medical degree from the University of Milan and is the President of the Foundation of the Italian Society of Urology. He has written over 100 research materials in urologic surgery and is a member of the American Urological Association and the Italian Society of Urology, Minimal Invasive Therapy.
