After completing their degree in Medicine and Surgery with honors and academic acclaim from the University of Naples in 1981, Dr Spiezia pursued a postgraduate internship at Cardarelli Hospital, Naples. He obtained a specialization diploma in Emergency Surgery, again with cum laude, from the University of Naples in 1986.
Throughout their career, Dr. Spiezia has continuously enhanced his expertise through further training and professional development. He completed a six-month specialization course in minimally invasive surgery at the II University of Naples in the academic year 1993-1994. In 1996, he successfully completed a managerial course focused on the management of healthcare companies.

Dr. is the Director of the Endocrine and Bariatric Surgery Unit and Head of the Mater Olbia Hospital Bariatric Center. He has a Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the School of Medicine at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy, and a Certificate of Specialist in General Surgery from the same school. His main focus is laparoscopic surgical approaches to morbid obesity and endocrine diseases, with a special interest in minimally invasive techniques. He has performed over 4500 surgical procedures, including 1500 as the first operator, and has taught at the School of Medicine and the National School of Endocrine Surgery of the Italian Society of Surgery.
