Dr. Andrej Orságh is a gastroenterologist, certified in 2015. He has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute (NOÚ) since 2016. Since 2019 he has been the institute’s specialist consultant for colorectal cancer screening. He leads the colorectal cancer screening working group of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society. Dr. Boris Pekárek is a gastroenterologist. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava in 2002. He worked at the Internal Medicine Clinic in Trnava from 2002 to April 2010. He obtained his specialization in gastroenterology in 2008.

Since April 2010, he has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute. He has led the department since 2017. He completed several specialized training courses abroad. He focuses on endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of early tumors of the esophagus, stomach, colon, and rectum.

He served as chair of the Oncology Section of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society from 2018 to 2024. He is the current chair of its Endoscopy Section and a member of the Society’s committee. He publishes, lectures at conferences, and trains basic and advanced endoscopic techniques in Slovakia and abroad.
