Dr. Aydoğan embarked on his medical career, graduating from Bornova Anadolu High School in 2004. Subsequently, he pursued his studies at Celal Bayar University Medical Faculty, earning his medical doctor degree in 2011. His professional journey began as a general practitioner at Şanlıurfa Birecik State Hospital. In 2012, he achieved a significant milestone by successfully passing the Medical Specialty Exam (TUS) and commencing his specialization in surgery at the Bozyaka General Surgery Department in Izmir. Dr. Aydoğan’s pursuit of excellence took him to Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany in 2015, one of the country’s top institutions, where he worked as a visiting doctor. Professor Burhan Mayir isespecially interested in metabolic and bariatric surgery, also. He performs single port (scarless) sleeve gastrectomy, gastric by pass procedures and revisional bariatric surgeries. He has experience about metabolic-bariatric surgery, gastro-esophagus reflux surgery, endoscopic thyroid surgery (scarless thyroidectomy), cancer surgery, hernia surgery, adrenal gland surgery, other gastrointestinal surgical procedures, liver surgery, spleen surgery, hemorrhoid surgery and anal fissure surgery. Born in 1982 in Istanbul, Dr. Fatih Can Karaca completed his high school education at Bahçelievler Super High School in 2000 and then entered Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, graduating in 2006. During his medical training, he was a key player on the faculty's basketball team, winning the 14 March Medical Tournament twice.
In 2007, he began his residency in General Surgery at Istanbul University, developing a keen interest in laparoscopic surgery. He contributed to Turkey's first laparoscopic metabolic surgery for Type 2 diabetes at the Special Metabolic Surgery Clinic in 2009. He continued his education in metabolic surgery at Universal Hospitals’ Taksim German Hospital in 2011 and completed his residency in General Surgery in 2012.
From 2012 to 2014, Dr. Karaca worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Kanuni Sultan Suleyman Training and Research Hospital, followed by a role at a Metabolic Surgery Clinic in Şişli from 2014 to 2017. He gained extensive experience in obesity surgery and the surgical treatment of diabetes during this period.
