Кроме того, с 2017 года он продолжил обучение в докторантуре на медицинском факультете Университета Эге, на кафедре стволовых клеток. Интересы доктора Онура Шахина включают в себя передовую имплантологию, аугментацию твердых и мягких тканей атрофированных челюстей, лечение all-on-X, скуловые, крыловидные и трансназальные имплантаты, медикаментозный остеонекроз челюсти (MRONJ), а также стволовые клетки и регенеративную терапию.
