In 2007, I graduated from Trakya University, Faculty of Medicine and received the title of “Medical Doctor”. In the same year, as a result of the TUS exam I took, I started my specialization training at Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery.
During my specialization training, in 2010, I worked as a guest doctor at “Lenox Hill Hospital, Aortic Wellness Center” in New York, USA, on aortic valve-preserving surgery, aortic root surgery, aortic arch surgery, thoracoabdominal aortic surgery and robotic heart surgery.
In 2013, I worked as a “fellow” at the “Landeskrankenhaus Salzburg, Paracelsus Universitätsklinik für Gefäßchirurgie und endovaskuläre Chirurgie” clinic in Salzburg, Austria, and conducted studies on endovascular and advanced vascular surgery techniques.
In 2013, I worked as a visiting physician at the “Vita-Salute University, Scientific Institute, Ospedale San Raffaele, dipartimento di chirurgia vascolare ed endovascolare” clinic in Milan, Italy, on endovascular techniques, advanced vascular techniques and surgical treatment of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms.
In 2013, I completed my assistant training and earned the title of “Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist”.
As of 2014, I started working as a “Specialist Doctor” at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Ondokuz Mayıs University.
In 2016, I received the title of “Assistant Professor Doctor”. In the same year, I received the “Certificate of Proficiency” issued by the “Turkish Cardiovascular Surgery Qualification Board”.
In 2017, I worked as a visiting doctor for 3 months at the “Landeskrankenhaus Nürnberg, Paracelsus Universitätsklinik für Gefäßchirurgie und endovaskuläre Chirurgie” clinic in Nuremberg, Germany, on advanced endovascular (FEVAR, BEVAR, CHEVAR, EVAR, TEVAR) techniques in aortic diseases.
I received the title of “Associate Professor” in 2019. I am fluent in English.

Dr. Ismail Oral Hastaoglu graduated from Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine in 1998. He completed his specialization at Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Center in 2005. He is a member of several professional organizations, including EACTS, ESVS, UVCD, the Phlebology Association, and TKDCD.
Dr. Hastaoglu specializes in coronary bypass surgery, heart valve surgery, congenital heart diseases, heart tumors, and aneurysm treatments. He also has experience in carotid artery operations, aortic aneurysm repair, peripheral artery disease management, and AV fistula procedures. He has made important contributions to cardiovascular surgery.
Dr. Hasan Yucel is a Cardiologist with over 18 years of experience. He specializes in heart valve diseases, cholesterol disorders, heart failure, and rhythm disorders. He has performed more than 10,000 valve replacement surgeries with very few complications. This shows his strong surgical skills.
Dr. Yucel is known for his national and international publications. He is often invited to speak at scientific meetings. He has worked at top medical institutions. His career shows his dedication to improving heart care and medical education.
Prof. Dr. Mert Yilmaz is a board-certified cardiovascular surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. He specializes in both adult and pediatric cardiac surgery. He graduated from Istanbul University in 1988. He completed his residency at Uludag University and received further training at the Royal South Hants Hospital in the UK.
Dr. Yilmaz was among the first in Turkey to perform endovascular repair of abdominal aneurysms. He completed the country’s second case. He has led cardiovascular surgery departments at leading hospitals. He now heads the department at Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospital. He is also a full professor at Halic University and an international member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (USA).
Dr. Yilmaz has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles, including 7 first-in-literature reports. He holds accreditations from the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Dr. Meki Bilici is a pediatric cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. He specializes in interventional cardiology and treats complex congenital heart diseases in children. He is known for his skills in minimally invasive transcatheter procedures. Dr. Bilici is also experienced in fetal and pediatric echocardiography and advanced angiographic diagnostics. He performs interventions in both neonates and infants.
Dr. Bilici has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in international journals. He has also contributed chapters to medical books at both national and international levels. His work supports the education of pediatric cardiology. He has taken part in multicenter clinical studies, including research on the Occlutech® Duct Occluder for PDA closure. Dr. Bilici often presents his findings at major medical congresses around the world.
He has held important clinical and academic positions at hospitals such as Liv Hospital, Medical Park, and Dicle University. Dr. Bilici is a member of the Turkish Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Association. He is dedicated to training future pediatric cardiologists and improving national standards of care.
Dr. Batur Gonenc Kanar is a leading cardiologist with training from top European centers. He studied at the Paris Institute of Cardiology, Hôpital Privé Jacques Cartier in France, and Royal Brampton & Harefield Hospital in the UK. He specializes in advanced electrophysiology. His expertise includes 3D-mapping-guided ablation for atrial fibrillation, catheter ablation, pacemaker implantation, ICD, and CRT therapy.
Dr. Kanar currently practices at Liv Hospital Vadi Istanbul. He brings international experience to Turkey and has performed over 1,000 electrophysiology and interventional procedures. He represents Türkiye at the European Heart Rhythm Association. He is also an active member of the European Society of Cardiology and the Turkish Cardiology Association. Dr. Kanar ensures his patients have access to the latest advances in cardiac care.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Vefik Yazıcıoğlu is a leading interventional cardiologist with over 30 years of experience. He specializes in high-risk coronary interventions, chronic total occlusions (CTO), TAVI, MitraClip, and structural heart defect closures.
He has performed thousands of advanced procedures. These include radial and peripheral interventions, EVAR/TEVAR, pacemaker and CRT implantations, LAA closure, and carotid or renal interventions. Dr. Yazıcıoğlu is a pioneer in advanced imaging such as IVUS, OCT, TEE, and FFR. He uses these tools to ensure precision in complex cases.

Prof. Emin Tireli, MD, is a leading pediatric cardiovascular surgeon. He has performed over 6,329 congenital cardiac surgeries since 1993. He is known worldwide for being one of the first to use the complex Nikaidoh procedure for transposition of the great arteries (TGA).
Dr. Tireli performs more than 100 neonatal cardiac surgeries each year. His expertise includes arterial switch operations, total pulmonary return anomalies, pulmonary banding, and Norwood procedures. He has used hybrid techniques in 15 cases. Dr. Tireli has also completed 30 reconstructions of aortic anomalies and many PDA ligations in extremely low birth weight infants. He graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. In the year he graduated, he started his specialization in Istanbul University Cardiology Institute Cardiology Department and successfully completed his specialty training in 2010. After his specialty training, he completed his compulsory service in Adıyaman State Hospital for 2 years. After the compulsory service was over, he started working at the university hospital where he received his specialization. In 2017, he received the title of Associate Professor. During his specialization, he performed many operations in the field of cardiovascular diseases and peripheral arterial diseases. In 2018, he completed the Academia - peripheral arterial disease intervention training in Italy. He received the title of Professor in 2022.

Born in Ankara in 1980, he received his primary and secondary education in Artvin, his hometown. He graduated from Inebolu High School in 1997 and started studying at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine the same year. He received his Medical Doctor degree in 2003 and ranked high in the medical specialization exam the same year.
He started his cardiology specialization education in the Department of Cardiology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and became a cardiology specialist in 2008.
He served as an interventional cardiologist in Rize Education and Research Hospital during his mandatory service.
He worked in the field of electrophysiology with Prof. Dr. Remzi Karaoğuz at Ankara Güven Hospital. He became an Associate Professor in January 2014 and a Professor in 2023.
Throughout his academic career, he has published many scientific publications that have been published nationally and internationally and have received high citations. He provides patent and consultancy services for medical engineering in addition to clinical medical education and treatment services. He is a member of national and international scientific societies. He is currently working in interventional cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fields in the Cardiology Clinic at Ankara Koru Çukurambar Hospital.

Kürşat Fidancı is a medical doctor who graduated from GATA Faculty of Medicine in 1999. Between 2000 and 2002, he served as the Chief Physician of the Şırnak Çakırsöğüt Commando Brigade. He completed his residency in Pediatrics from 2002 to 2006 at Istanbul GATA Haydarpaşa Training and Research Hospital. He worked as a Pediatrician at Ankara Beytepe Military Hospital between 2006 and 2009. He completed his subspecialty training in Paediatric Cardiology at GATA Faculty of Medicine Pediatric Cardiology Department from 2010 to 2013. He became an Assistant Professor in 2014 and obtained the title of Associate Professor in April 2016. He worked as a faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at GATA Faculty of Medicine between September 2014 and December 2021. As a pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Kürşat Fidancı has seen numerous patients and his medical interests include Fetal Echocardiography, Congenital Heart Diseases, Rheumatic Heart Diseases, Rhythm Disorders, and Athlete's Heart Health and Follow-up.
