Continuing his academic and surgical life at the institution where he completed his medical specialization, Dr. Şanlı successfully passed the European Board of Urology examination in 2008 and in June 2011, he was awarded the title of “Assistant Professor of Urology” based on the results of the academic assessment and professional examination of the Intercollegiate Council. After receiving the title of professor in July 2017, Şanlı served as a visiting professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center from September 2016 to January 2018. Since January 2018, he continues to work at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology. In addition, Dr. Şanlı is known; He continues his extracurricular urology practice at Bahçelievler Memorial Hospital. Besides this, Dr. Şanlı won a uro-oncology training fellowship provided by a pharmaceutical company in 2005 and by taking this opportunity at the Department of Urology at the University of Michigan, he got the opportunity to study the application of the surgical technique “laparoscopy” in the field of urology. Subsequently, Dr. Şanlı had the opportunity to develop this technique at the Heilbronn University Urology Clinic in Heildelberg by receiving a training fellowship granted by the European Association of Urology in 2008.
