In 2019, he worked as a fellow with world-renowned plastic surgeon Prof.Dr.Moustapha Hamdi in breast aesthetics and reconstruction in Brussels for 3 months. After successfully completing the course organized by the Reconstructive Microsurgery Association, he was awarded a microsurgery certificate. At the end of 2019, he completed his residency and became a specialist. He passed the first step of the European Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) board exams in Brussels, Belgium in 2019 and the second step in İzmir, Turkey in 2020, and was awarded the title of Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS). He also has a professional qualification certificate from the Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association.

Between 2019-2021, he completed his compulsory service at Ankara Keçiören Training and Research Hospital. He attended many national and international meetings and courses. He has many oral presentations at meetings. There are 2 plastic surgery book translations for Turkish plastic surgeons. He is a chapter author in 2 different plastic surgery books. He started ice skating as a hobby at childhood, and in the following years he was selected to the university team and then to the national team. After achieving a high degree in the national exam, Dr Hakan Tekin started his medical education at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty / English Department. Dr Tekin worked in the E&A Department and ICU of State Hospital in Van after graduation for two years. He started to work in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department at Van Yuzuncu Yil University. He was trained in many types of surgical procedures, including; microsurgery, maxillofacial surgery, congenital deformities, hand surgeries and aesthetic procedures.
