After becoming a general surgery specialist in 1996, I served as a General Surgery and Organ Transplantation Specialist at SSK (social insurance institution), for a period of 9 years. In 2005, was granted the title of Associate Professor-General Surgery. Between 2005 and 2012, I established the kidney transplant centers in İzmir Private Kent Hospital, Istanbul Private Gaziosmanpasa Hospital, and Medicalpark Goztepe Hospital respectively, and served as the chief executive of these centers.
I have worked in İzmir Private Kent Hospital since 2013. I established Obesity Clinic at Gazi Hospital, and performed more than 200 gastric reduction operations.

I have worked in the management boards of many associations engaging in scientific and social activities, and served as a founding member in some of them.
The most important one of these is that I have served as a coordinator in the project intended for providing 150.000 elementary school students and 5,000 adults with training on organ donation, for a period of 10 years, through various social activities.1
Born in Trabzon in 1972, Dr. İzzettin Kahraman began his medical studies at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1989 and earned his Medical Doctor degree in 1995. Following two years as a general practitioner, he embarked on his specialization training in 1997. He completed his residency at Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital, becoming a General Surgery Specialist in 2002.
Dr. Kahraman worked as a General Surgery Specialist in public hospitals, including Trabzon Numune Hospital and Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, for 13 years. From 2016 to 2018, he served as a Lecturer at University of Health Sciences. In 2019, he transitioned to the private sector, continuing his career in private hospitals.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kahraman has engaged in a wide range of training programs both in Turkey and abroad. In 2007, he earned a Surgical Endoscopy Certificate and furthered his expertise in laparoscopic hernia treatments in Hamburg, Germany, in 2008. He also completed a course on Nutrition Practices and Training at Ondokuz Mayis University and a specialized course in laparoscopic hernia repair in Istanbul in 2010.
In 2011, after completing the "Emergency Surgery" course in Istanbul organized by the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ESTES), Dr. Kahraman received training in SILS (Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery) Cholecystectomy at Gazi University in Ankara. Since then, he has specialized in advanced laparoscopic techniques, with a particular focus on endoscopy, gastric diseases, obesity, and metabolic surgery.
In 2021, Dr. Kahraman obtained certificates in Ozone Therapy and Mesotherapy from Medipol University.
Since 2023, he has been serving at Estexper Clinic, Istanbul.

In the last years of his high school education, with his passion for white coats, he took the university exam and was accepted to Ege University Faculty of Medicine.
Cüneyt Çiftdoğan, who started his medical education at Ege University in 1988, graduated as a medical doctor in 1994 after an intensive and successful medical education. Cüneyt Çiftdoğan, who passed the Medical Specialization Examination (TUS) in 1997 and started his specialization training in the Department of General Surgery at Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine, took part in many successful operations until 2002 and had serious experience in the branch of general surgery. Professor Burhan Mayir isespecially interested in metabolic and bariatric surgery, also. He performs single port (scarless) sleeve gastrectomy, gastric by pass procedures and revisional bariatric surgeries. He has experience about metabolic-bariatric surgery, gastro-esophagus reflux surgery, endoscopic thyroid surgery (scarless thyroidectomy), cancer surgery, hernia surgery, adrenal gland surgery, other gastrointestinal surgical procedures, liver surgery, spleen surgery, hemorrhoid surgery and anal fissure surgery. Born in 1982 in Istanbul, Dr. Fatih Can Karaca completed his high school education at Bahçelievler Super High School in 2000 and then entered Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, graduating in 2006. During his medical training, he was a key player on the faculty's basketball team, winning the 14 March Medical Tournament twice.
In 2007, he began his residency in General Surgery at Istanbul University, developing a keen interest in laparoscopic surgery. He contributed to Turkey's first laparoscopic metabolic surgery for Type 2 diabetes at the Special Metabolic Surgery Clinic in 2009. He continued his education in metabolic surgery at Universal Hospitals’ Taksim German Hospital in 2011 and completed his residency in General Surgery in 2012.
From 2012 to 2014, Dr. Karaca worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Kanuni Sultan Suleyman Training and Research Hospital, followed by a role at a Metabolic Surgery Clinic in Şişli from 2014 to 2017. He gained extensive experience in obesity surgery and the surgical treatment of diabetes during this period. In 2015, he became a lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University, sharing his knowledge and experiences with younger colleagues, and he was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2016 and Associate Professor in 2021.
Dr. Karaca has held various positions as a General Surgery Specialist in different hospitals, where he established obesity clinics and performed numerous successful surgeries.
