Müslüm ÇİÇEK was born in Malatya in 1969 and attended primary, secondary and higher education in Malatya. He graduated from Istanbul University Medical School in 1992. He completed his specialization in anesthesiology and intensive care at Şişli Etfal Hospital in 1997.
He worked at Malatya İnönü University Medical School between 2000 and 2008. In 2005, he worked in the intensive care unit at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, USA. In 2007, he became Associate Professor and in 2013, Professor.
In 2016, he was rector of the Cyprus University of Social and Health Sciences. He held this position for two years.
In 2018, he began working at Istinye University Health Practice and Research Hospital Gaziosmanpaşa as “medical director, specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation and sub-specialist in intensive care”. He continues to hold this position.
He is a member of numerous national and international associations.
In his professional career, Dr. Sarıer began working as a urology specialist at Özel Antalya Yaşam Hospital from 2005 to 2008, and then served at Gümüşsuyu Asker Hospital between 2008 and 2009. Since 2009, he has been employed at Medical Park Antalya Hospital, where he received the title of associate professor in 2020. Additionally, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Urology at Altınbaş University Faculty of Medicine from 2016 to 2017, and has been continuing his academic career as a faculty member in the Department of Urology at İstinye University Faculty of Medicine since 2021.
