Dr. Stea has been working for the GVM Care & Research Group, he had hold the role of the Head of the Operational Unit of Maxillofacial Surgery Department for many years. Former 1st level medical assistant at the hospital maxillofacial department in one of the Public Hospitals in Bologna, Italy, he also started working in the UK for the most prestigious hospitals.
Dr. Stea worked as an Academic professor at the School of Specialization in Maxillofacial Surgery of the University of Bologna. During his professional career, he attended several internships and had opportunity to work with the best masters worldwide, such as:
In 1993 he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna (Italy) with full marks. Five years later he specialized in Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Parma (Italy), and he also obtained a double-degree in dentistry. Dr. Stea continued with his professional education, obtaining a 2nd level Master Certificate in Surgical therapy for TMJ Disorder, from the University “La Sapienza”, Rome.
Then, in 2008 he obtained a diploma from the European Board of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery and recently, in 2020, of Fellowship Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Research & Publications
He is the author of more than 70 scientific publications in national and international journals and speaker at national and international courses and congresses. He is a Member of many professional bodies including the British Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (BAOMS), the Italian Maxillofacial Surgery Society (SICMF), the European Association for Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery (EACMFS), the Italian Medical Society of Great Britain (IMSoGB). He has been Speaker at many national and international congresses. For Italian public television, he has given various interviews, speaking of his specialty in collaboration with the GVM Facilities.

He is specialized in General Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a founding member of GISOS with co-authorship of over 100 publications in national and international journals. He is also a Referent in Maxillofacial Surgery for the National Ectodermal Dysplasia Association and consultant of the Maxillofacial Surgery department of the Italian Stomatological Institute in Milan.
