Additional information
At Carolina Hospital in Warsaw, we perform advanced knee replacement surgeries using the Cori robotic system, ensuring exceptional surgical precision and optimal implant positioning for long-lasting results. The procedure is carried out by Dr. Mikołaj Wróbel, specialist in orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system.
Key advantages of the Cori robotic system:
• Individual surgical plan based on X-ray or CT imaging
• Real-time navigation during surgery for precise alignment and balance
• Better anatomical fit of the implant to your knee
• Reduced blood loss and typically a shorter hospital stay
• Lower risk of revision surgery for both partial (UKA) and total (TKA) replacements
Typical patient benefits:
• Faster recovery and earlier return to daily activities
• Improved joint function and range of motion
• Fewer complications related to implant misalignment
We are usually able to organize the surgery within about two weeks from the first consultation. During this initial visit, Dr. Wróbel qualifies the patient for the procedure and issues a referral. Once the referral is issued, we can provide an exact cost calculation tailored to your case. The final price is affected by the prosthesis chosen together with the doctor.
Price: about 51 500 PLN (about 12 000 EUR or 10 450GBP)
The price includes:
• The surgery with medical materials, anesthesia, and full surgical team
• Three days hospital stay – double room, ensuite, full board, Wi-Fi and TV access, 24/7 nursing care
• One hour of physiotherapy per day during hospitalisation
• Preoperative diagnostics (blood tests, chest X-ray in selected cases, and additional diagnostics during your stay to monitor the success of the surgery)
• Orthopaedic equipment, if necessary (crutches, braces, plaster)
• Daily wound dressings
• All consultations with your doctor until the stitches are removed
Standard process for international patients:
1. Diagnostic Imaging: Send us your diagnostic images – preferably an MRI of the knee in DICOM format – via www.wetransfer.com.
2. Teleconsultation: Once received, we schedule an online consultation with Dr. Wróbel to review your MRI, discuss your condition, and, if indicated, issue a preliminary surgical referral.
3. Surgical Planning: After the consultation, you can plan your trip to Poland for the surgery, knowing that all arrangements are in place.
