Treatment Flow for Lu-177 Therapy
• The patient must begin fasting from the night before the procedure.
• Hospital admission takes place in the morning.
• Blood samples are collected in the patient’s room, and pre-treatment medications are administered intravenously.
• Around noon, once the Lu-177 drug synthesis (preparation) is completed, the Lu-177 therapy is administered through an IV line in the patient’s room.
• The patient stays in the hospital for one night for medical observation.
• The following morning, a whole-body scintigraphy scan is performed with a gamma camera.
• Discharge generally takes place around midday.
Follow-Up Process
• After returning home, the patient is required to have blood tests done at 2 weeks and 4 weeks after the treatment.
• The patient sends the blood test results to our medical team for evaluation.
• If the results are within acceptable ranges, the patient is approved to return for the second session, which is planned approximately 6 weeks after the first treatment.
• Patients who successfully complete all 4 treatment sessions undergo a Ga-68 PET/CT scan to evaluate the treatment response.
