Osteotomy rhinoplasty in Turkey: Reviews from Real Patients

I felt very secure and taken care of through the entire experience. All of my inquiries were answered very promptly by both the bookiemed coordinator, the assistant, and my doctor (Dr. C Altindąg), is very experienced and talked me through what to expect and analyzed my nose very thoroughly. I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter (I had a severe deviated septum and other complications from a past surgery that he identified and corrected including a mirgrated graft and a droopy tip). I'm still quite swollen but look forward to seeing final results in a few months.

I liked everything overall. Initially, I was very afraid, starting with the flight to another country, the transfer to the hotel and the operation itself. But the calmness and poise of the doctor and his team completely dispelled my doubts. 5 hours after the operation I returned to the hotel. Which is also very good because the hospital ward is the worst for me. Exactly after a week I took off the splint, my nose was still swollen. The nose is proportional to my face. When the swelling goes down it will be smaller

To say that I was shocked by the doctor's approach to treatment is to say nothing. My impressions to you, just do not wish to experience. The operation was agreed in advance counselling and my wishes. The day of the operation came. In the morning I was picked up from the hotel and with an interpreter, I went through all the analyses. On the question when I will have a meeting with the doctor I was told at 9 am then I pointed out that I am allergic to one drug. But they wouldn't give me any medication before the operation without the doctor's consent. When I was already changed clothes for the operation ( I apologise myself in underwear, in an operating gown ) came the doctor and began to explain to me on his hands that it can not be like this, as I want and he sees it all differently. He began to explain to me with his fingers how it will be. Interrupting the interpreter. The interpreter couldn't keep up with the translation. Hurrying me to make a decision. I replied that I couldn't make a decision without seeing any pictures of what was waiting for me. Then after about an hour of dialogue, the doctor corrected the curvature of my nose on the telephoto in front of me and said here's what awaits you and covered the tip of my nose with his hand. Again we heard my refusal, to which I was told there is no time and I have to make a decision. They told me there was no time and I had to make a decision. My wishes were ignored. What was agreed upon before the operation was changed. My wishes were to correct the curvature and to change and reduce the tip of the nose. The result of the operation is that the curvature was not corrected and the septum remained the same. But the cartilage was grown on the side, which I did not ask for at all, and the nose was visually enlarged and the tip was corrected. Now I'm just shocked with my appearance to say the least. Everything was done at the discretion of the doctor. He ignored all my wishes. Putting me in front of the fact. Without showing me a single photo of what's in store for me. Explaining it to me on my fingers.

My nose was large and not an easy case for Dr Cem Altindag to work with. The results AMAZING!!!! It looks so natural and matches my face perfectly. The Dr and his assistant both responded in the middle of the night to a question I sent them after the surgery. That is outstanding care!! I picked Dr Cem because he specializes in noses and is highly rated. I am working to take my daughter there soon for him to work his magic on her nose also. Before and two weeks later pictures! As a healthcare professional from the uk, it can be difficult to trust a different healthcare service outside the uk. My reservatiobs were rest assured with quick responses to any questions that i had, to arranging video call with tge surgeon, right to the surgery itself and the aftercare. I could not fault the care that i received, all in line with similar proticols as we have in the nhs. Bloods, ecg, observations, pain relief, and wound and patiebt care were all exceptional. The nursing staff were very caring. Some language barrier at times but easily overcome. Google translate was also helpful. Highly recommend.

I am grateful to bookmed for helping me choose a clinic. Everything that was promised was fulfilled in full! We were met and organised everything very efficiently in terms of time. The interpreter Akilai was very good, she solved all our queries and questions very quickly and was available 24/7. Dr Hakan - hair transplant and Dr Ibrahim Renoseptoplasty are very competent. I would like to mention Dr Hakan in particular, he was very attentive, friendly and open, explained everything and took care of us...The doctors did a great job and now everything depends on how carefully their recommendations will be followed during the rehabilitation period.

Initially there were doubts. But everything went very well. I was met at the airport, then taken to the hotel (I wanted to note that the transport was at the highest level, very comfortable and comfortable). The hotel room was not disappointing either, even better than I expected. The next day the operation took place (brought to the clinic, taken back). I would like to note that I am very grateful for the availability of an interpreter ( the girl is very nice, friendly, very helpful 🙏 ). The operation was successful (I had rhinoplasty), I am also very satisfied with the result. I got so to say in good hands of a wonderful specialist

For a long time I couldn’t decide on this operation, but in the end everything went quickly and conveniently. The price included the hotel and transfer from the airport and back and transfer to the clinic and back. The hotel enters with one more person, I flew with a friend. Breakfast for 2 is included. Having a translator is a big plus, even though I practiced my English. The doctor and assistant are very nice. Everything went smoothly, and Istanbul was already explored. It’s a pity that I didn’t manage to lose weight 😅 I’m happy with my nose, the shape is as I wanted, although it’s still a little swollen, only a week has passed and I’m already at home and even working.

I was nervous travelling to a different country where I don’t know the language for this operation. Also this surgeon and hospital was about 20% cheaper than other offers and I hoped that wouldn’t be reflected in the quality of care. I shouldn’t have worried! I felt taken care of the whole time. They went above and beyond to make sure I was Ok. Ismael my co-ordinator and translator was lovely and professional. The doctor did an amazing job with my nose and I am so happy with the results. I can 100% recommend this clinic and surgeon.

That was the best experience what I could imagine. The whole trip was nice organised. From the first steps till the last everything was more then good. The doctor did an extremly nice shaped nose what is perfectly fitting for my face.He was listening for all my wishes but he kept being honest and realistic with me since the first time. My experience with Db'est Clinic was fantastic, Dr. Derya Bingöl and her team were very friendly and made the consultation feel exciting, giving me their opinions and suggestions whilst keeping it professional. They took care of everything; the transportation from and to the airport, booking a spacious hotel suite right in front of the hospital where they operate, helping me with the pre-surgery examination and translating when needed. The hospital room also had a bed for my partner, and meals were provided for the both of us. The nurses were very caring and attentive, however I'm grateful I had my partner with me, as the first few days of recovering from surgery are no joke and I needed assistence for everything (I also wanted to stay an extra night as I didn't feel ready to leave after one day). Dr. Derya came both days I was in the hospital to visit me, and answer any question I had along with her nurse Pinar who was very patient and caring towards me. They also provided me the medication I needed for the week when I was discharged from the hospital. During my stay in the hotel (where the staff is used to have recovering patients and know how to be discreet) Derya's team was in contact with me daily to make sure everything was ok. On my last day I was given further instruction on how to proceed from there at home, and given a letter to show at the airport for medical clearance to fly. In conclusion I can truly say I had a great experience, everything was curated in detail and I'm happy with my results. PS: if I can give my personal advice to anybody wanting to have a procedure done, is to be realistic when it comes to seeing the final results. I'm currently 2 weeks post surgery and even though I feel good; I'm still recovering and still waiting to fully heal as these kind of procedures take a few months to settle in.

The final result can be seen only after a while, but the operation itself went well and the initial result was very pleasing: everything is as expected, and most importantly, it looks natural. The choice of the clinic was intuitive and the information about the attending physician reinforced the feeling that I had made the right choice. The organisation, the pleasant interpreter, the smooth work and the process in general - everything as I like it. Everything brilliant is simple. A personal meeting with the doctor on the eve of the operation delighted me and calmed my worries, as I was promptly given my personal view of the problem. Rehabilitation is difficult, which is due to the peculiarities of my body (Dr Jem said after the operation that my teeth would hurt), but very fast, 4-5 days without bruises and swelling.
