A year ago, I had a colonoscopy performed by Ms. Kaczmarek-Talkowska. Everything seemed fine. I was given an over-the-counter medication for my pain and constipation, which I was supposed to take. Today, at the Oncology Clinic, it turned out that the photos printed at Matopat showed diseased intestines, thin and congested, and the medication had the opposite effect, which is supposed to be for diarrhea. The pain is already worse than it was a year ago. If Ms. Kaczmarek-Talkowska had implemented the appropriate treatment, I wouldn't be on "vacation" in Bydgoszcz today. I've been disappointed twice, and I won't be returning to this place for the third time.

I am over 85 years old and increasingly often I have to use medical assistance. During my long life I have used the services of many medical institutions, not only in Poland. Over the past year I have been treated at the Matopat hospital several times. I believe that none of the institutions I know can match this hospital in terms of work organization, availability and quality of medical services offered, as well as modern equipment. Recently, due to serious cardiological problems, I have been under the care of Dr. Piotr Kowalczyk, MD, internist, and Dr. Janusz Bąk, cardiologist. I can say with full conviction that these are doctors of exceptional professionalism and commitment. They stand out not only with their high medical competence, but also with their empathetic and respectful approach to the patient. I am extremely grateful to them for the care and excellent care they have provided. They are not only outstanding specialists, but also wonderful people. I recommend the Matopat hospital and its doctors as a model of the highest standards of medical care.

I've had five surgeries and just as many procedures, but I've never seen such organization in any hospital. Let me begin. On February 26, 2025, I had an appointment with Dr. Tafelski for a thermolesion (I wholeheartedly recommend him, a great specialist). I received a referral and the phone number 723185271 for Ms. Daria to arrange the date, time, and price of the procedure. She called back and informed me of a date around February 20th. Still no response. I called a few days later and was told it was February 20th. She set the price for the procedure at PLN 5,500 (four needles and two sacroiliac joints). On February 18, 2025, I started calling frantically, but no one answered. After a few hours, Ms. Magda called from that number and told me to be in room 106 at 10:00 AM for the procedure at 2:00 PM. Inspired by my medical experience, I know that there's no four-hour wait before a procedure. February 19, 2025, I call Marcin, the nurse coordinator, for information about the procedure and am told I have to be there at 12:00 PM. February 20, 2025, I get an IV line, basic tests, a shirt, bubble bath, a conversation with the doctor, and I'm waiting in the waiting room for the procedure. At 3:00 PM, the nurse asks me to come in for the procedure. My question is, should I go to the operating room barefoot and without underwear? I'm given a diaper and told to wear my combat boots. I won't be wearing a diaper. I say, "Please put on your underwear." No disposable slippers, underwear, or headgear. In such conditions, you go to the treatment room. I leave my shoes at the door and enter in my own underwear (that's why I showed up in the shower). The procedure was performed perfectly by Dr. Tafelski, although his appointment only listed one sacroiliac joint, but he did both, and thank goodness for him! Now I feel great. On February 21, 2025, I receive an invoice for PLN 6,180. I'm stunned, an attempted fraud. I should mention that in my conversations with Ms. Daria and Ms. Magda, as well as on the day of the reception in room 106 and even in the treatment room, we're talking about a price of PLN 5,500. After a phone argument, I received a call about a second invoice for PLN 5,500, which I paid. Mocking the patient, terrible organization, and wearing my own clothes in the treatment room. I'm 66 years old and on a low pension, and thanks to my family, I was able to overcome excruciating pain (four spinal surgeries, six disc replacements, two stabilizations, and one detrax), hypertension, and melanoma removal. I demand compensation for the torn nerves. I sincerely thank Dr. Tafelski for the excellent procedure and care. Regarding the hospital's statement, I should add that the number of needles (four) and the number of both joints were given by Ms. Daria in phone calls (which can be reconstructed from her phone number and mine). Regarding the diaper, the situation was different. I was asked to leave the room and stand barefoot and naked in the hallway. Only after my intervention was I told to put on my own shoes and underwear. Previously, I had only been given a towel, lotion, and a T-shirt, while the nurse walked by holding the diaper. This is the truth, and please don't distort the facts.

The waiting lists for specialist appointments are long. Some even last several weeks. Unfortunately, even private appointments require waiting. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The parking lot is quite large, but finding a spot isn't always easy.
