Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine was established in 1971. It has SAK accreditation - United Accreditation of the Czech Republic. IKEM consists of Cardiology Centre, Diabetology Centre, and the Transplantation Centre.

Transplantation Center
IKEM Center for Transplant specializes in transplantation of kidney and liver. It is the only center in the Czech Republic where liver transplant is performed even for the infants. Specialists of the Center performed here the first multivessel transplantation (of 5 organs) in 2014.
Cardiology Center
IKEM Cardiology Center is one of the largest and oldest cardiac centers in the Czech Republic. Doctors treat cardiac, cardiovascular disorders diagnosed in adults and children. Cardiology Center consists of 4 specialized departments.
Diabetology Center
It is a leading Center in the Czech Republic specialized in the metabolic and nutrition disorders. Doctors accept even advanced patients.

Moc děkuji za skvělou péči, která byla poskytnuta mojí babičce, jak na oddělení akutního příjmu, tak na kardiochirurgii, kde jí byl operován trojnásobný bypass.

Mám ženu po transplantaci srdce a at jsou jaké koliv komplikace nebo cokoliv za ty 3 roky vždy dají vše do kupy jsou kouzelníci úplný a mnohokrat díky za vás odvadite opravdu kvalitní práci a děkuji za mou ženu a i za ostatní co se vám dostanou pod ruce

Dobrou nemocnici dělá hlavně skvělý personál tak musím touto cestou poděkovat Marcele Dajkové -Flaškové , Vandě Bořutové -Hrdinové a lékařům - jmenovitě pan doktor Roztočil kdyby takový personál byl všude hned by naše zdravotnictví bylo veselejší, neuvěřitelná ochota, podpora a pochopení děkujeme
