The laboratory of Memorial Şişli IVF Center is the 1st in Turkey and other Asian countries which is accredited according to ISO 15189 quality requirements.
Oncology Department
Doctors of the Oncology Department carry out the treatment in accordance with the international NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Network) and ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) protocols.
Specialists perform radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical interventions and apply targeted drugs that purposefully destroy cancer cells.
The department is equipped with the latest radiotherapy devices — TrueBeam STx and IMRT. They irradiate tumors of up to 1.5 mm in size with high accuracy without affecting healthy tissues.
Oncosurgeons of the Memorial Şişli Hospital specialize in minimally invasive operations. They use Da Vinci robotic surgery, laparoscopy, endoscopy. Surgical intervention is performed through small punctures up to 1-3 cm. As a result, a patient has no scars after the surgery. The recovery takes only 5-10 days.
Prevention of side effects
Side effects, (vomiting and fever) occur after chemotherapy in most of the cases. To avoid such consequences, doctors prescribe immunostimulants and special drugs.
Doctors also apply a special DigniCap cap to prevent hair loss during and after chemo. This cap influences on the scalp with cold. As a result, the blood vessels constrict, so chemotherapy does not reach the hair roots.

Bone Marrow Transplant Center
Doctors conduct a bone marrow transplant for patients with blood and lymphatic system diseases.
Specialists perform 100 such procedures annually. The success rate depends on the patient’s diagnosis — 80-90% according to the hospital’s statistics.

Transplant Department

Neurosurgery Department
Specialists of the Neurosurgery Department perform operations for children and adults with brain and spinal cord tumors, diseases of the nervous system. A team of neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, oncologists provides the treatment.
Here is a center for minimally invasive spinal cord surgery. Doctors apply microsurgical and endoscopic techniques to operate the spinal cord. Due to this, a surgical intervention is low injuring; a risk to affect nervous ends is reduced.

I’m so very glad I had the best doctor and best care
My arrival at Istanbul airport was smooth and efficient. I was met and transported to my hotel. My hotel was lovely.
Transportation from hotel to hospitals on time and efficient.
I met my advocate at international patient area, she had everything under control, all tests lined up and doctor appointments were fabulous. My advocate translated to my language at every appointment.
