Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital: Patients Reviews and Experience

Hi, I'm Cella, and I’m living in Bali, Indonesia. I’d like to share an honest review based on my experience of finding a medical coordinator, a doctor, and a hospital for my case. I was recently diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and stage 4 endometriosis, which required surgery as soon as possible. I was initially hospitalized in Bali, but the doctor there suggested I look for a better-equipped hospital as they didn’t have the necessary facilities to perform my surgery. It wasn’t easy to find the right care on a small island like Bali. Thankfully, my best friend helped me connect with a medical manager from Bookimed. That’s how we found Alisher, the medical manager and Prof. Dr. A Cem Iyibozkurt from Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul. We arranged an online consultation with the doctor, which was free of charge, I already have all my medical records and MRI results before an online consultation, I’ve prepared everything to speed up the process. and within a week, they scheduled my laparoscopic robotic surgery. Alisher did an excellent job coordinating everything, and I couldn’t be happier with him. Prof. Dr. Cem Iyibozkurt is an amazing doctor, highly experienced, and well-known for his expertise in the field. The hospital itself was fantastic—the nurses and staff took great care of me. I’m really grateful for the smooth process, and I highly recommend them to anyone who may be in a similar situation and looking for this kind of care and has similar situation as mine.

From the start to finish, everything was perfect. I have used different clinics and hospitals in turkey but the service provided here and the care of the doctors has been the best. Aliser and Ayperi were both very caring and help with translation, Aliser was there helping with every need was very humble and caring nature. All the nurses and doctor main concern was the help and our comfort, one nurse who we thanked said no don't thank me it's my job. The doctors visited us everyday to check up and would care for all our needs, even the outpatient admin came to see if everything is ok then said she will speak to the nurses even though it wasn't her job. The airport transportation, pick up and drop off were punctual, room was spacious, clean and tidy. The room was cleaned multiple times a day and food was provided which was tasty considering its hospital. It definitely deserves 10/10 not because of the facilities but because of the staff who run the place from the cleaning staff all the way to the doctors.

Successfully myomectomy Surgery My uterus, my decision: First of all, I am genuinely grateful to Prof Cem Iyibozkurt of Florence Nightingale Istanbul for saving my uterus, which doctors in the UK have declared damaged and useless and saying that the only option for me was a hysterectomy, and I was totally against it. I recently had a successful myomectomy at the end of March 2025, which removed 81 fibroids, and the largest fibroid was a size 21x20 cm. I was diagnosed with multiple fibroids in August 2023, which were in different locations. I had a protruded stomach, and I looked like 6 months pregnant. The fibroids also pressed on my pelvic nerves, causing my left leg to swell and causing excruciating pain. They were also pressing on my internal organs, causing my kidneys to swell, and I became incontinent because they were pressing on my bladder, and I could not empty the bladder. My menstrual blood was so heavy I had to request my employer to work remotely during my menstrual month as I needed to change pads regularly or change clothes in case they had overflowed. I am genuinely grateful that my surgery went successfully. I spent 3 days in the hospital. On the discharge day, I felt good and confident enough to walk and had less pain around the stomach area. Today is week 4, past surgery; my scar is healing beautifully and is invisible. You won't even know that I just had a myomectomy surgery. All the discomfort I used to have is gone. No more incontinence pads and my left leg no longer causes pain or gets swollen. I feel renewed. I would recommend Prof Cem Iyibozkurt and Florence Nightingale Istanbul Hospital to any woman looking for the best doctor and hospital for myomectomy surgery.
