Medipol Mega University Hospital: Patients Reviews and Experience

At the moment, I am undergoing chemotherapy at the Medipol clinic. The clinic is very good, the doctors are attentive and friendly. Constant support of a translator helps a lot. Found this clinic with the help of booked, they very quickly organized a flight and a visit to the doctor. Accommodation for the entire period of treatment was provided by the clinic for free, as well as three meals a day. We are all happy.

My current health status (symptoms and concerns regarding the medication)have been discussed with professor Layla (Hematologist). Physical checkup have been done. Previous reports have been reviewed and discussed as well. Advices and guidelines have been suggested. Finally medication have been prescribed beside lab check up request. I was looking for high qualified professionals and professor Layla was the right person. Financially it seems to me that the costs are high.

We went to the clinic with a diagnosis of stomach cancer. In the process of refining the tests, the correct diagnosis was made - lymphoma (thanks to the doctors! They are superb!) And treatment was prescribed. The first chemotherapy was done in the clinic, the rest - in Kharkov with Turkish medicines. Two months later, the results of PET CT showed good dynamics of treatment. We continue to be treated according to the prescriptions of the Turkish doctor Hussein. We had an excellent translator, Maksud, who was always in touch, responsive and offered the best solutions to our problems. We were satisfied with the place of settlement (the Serenity hotel is very good in terms of comfort). But everything else: logistics (you wait for an hour or more for transport, but sometimes it is not there), lack of reaction from Irada (does not answer calls and does not get in touch), ignorance of English by the medical staff in the hospital and the staff in the hospital restaurant, poor competence of the nursing staff (injections in A vein can be done by 2 people per department, the rest of the nurses wave their hands and run for help: once the vein was injected 16 times !!! For beginners, we want to warn you: the prices that are shown to you according to your documents after a remote consultation with doctors must be multiplied several times: for one day just a hospital stay - $ 350, this is without drugs. Medicines in the hospital are also very different in price (upwards) from the pharmacy in Istanbul. On the whole, our goal has been almost achieved, the doctors are very grateful for life and treatment!

The clinic is comfortable, we spent enough time here, 5 and a half months, to be convinced of this. Doctors are wonderful, professionals in their field and, most importantly, good, positive people who are attentive to patients. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Always monitor the patient's condition. As elsewhere, there is a human factor. But all issues are decided by the coordinator Svetlana and the staff of the international department. Also, I want to note the work of translators. These are kind and helpful people. Ready to explain everything 24 hours a day.

Good day. The trip was top notch. The staff of the hospital surprised me very spicyly, thanks a lot to Svetlana and Virginia, they really helped everyone! Doctor, this is generally separate. The doctor was professorial, he was helped to help bring the disease into remission, he made a diagnosis and we are waiting for a transplant. Thanks separately to the doctor who examined us on arrival, she took a bone marrow analysis. Skillful hands, pleasant and professional in their field! The trip itself is organized very cool. We lived near the clinic, we even went on foot ourselves, if there was a desire, the food was tasty and varied! Thank you for everything!
