The Holy Family High Specialty Hospital: more details about the clinic

Poland, Rzeszow

Today, it is one of the largest private hospitals in southern Poland, providing comprehensive treatment for osteoarticular and muscular system diseases and injuries. The hospital strongly emphasizes minimally invasive surgical procedures for various body areas, such as the hand, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, and spine.

The Orthopedics and Traumatology department offers comprehensive treatment for osteoarticular and muscular system diseases and injuries. Special attention is given to the development of minimally invasive surgical procedures, utilizing innovative medical techniques and bio-engineering materials for bone and joint reconstruction. The hospital specializes in joint endoprosthesis, offering hip, knee, shoulder, brachioradialis, and foot joint treatments. It also provides advanced solutions for injury and post-surgery recovery, including vacuum-assisted closure for wound healing, ozone therapy, and innovative techniques for managing postoperative pain and swelling.

Unique to the hospital is its use of bioabsorbable Magnezix implants made of magnesium alloy, which gradually biodegrade in the body and are replaced by natural bone tissue. This eliminates the need for additional metal removal surgeries. The hospital applies regenerative medicine techniques and bioengineering in bone and articular cartilage reconstruction, offering treatments such as Cellular Matrix periarticular blockages and stem cell therapy with LIPOGEMS growth factors.

The hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs led by qualified medical rehabilitation physicians and physiotherapy specialists. Orthopedic rehabilitation targets various diseases of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, and spine, while neurological rehabilitation caters to patients with conditions such as strokes, craniocerebral injuries, spinal cord injuries, and Parkinson's disease.

Professional and knowledgeable service. If you need a colonoscopy or gastroscopy under anesthesia, you won't find better care and specialists! From registration to the endoscopy lab itself, everyone is very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it!

My stay at this hospital was very disappointing. The attending physician seemed impatient and uninterested in what the patient had to say – she would interrupt mid-sentence and not allow me to describe my symptoms in more detail. I felt ignored and looked down upon, and the final documentation contained inaccuracies, which I found extremely upsetting and unprofessional. There was a lack of empathy, understanding, and a basic human touch. On a side note, the hospital boasts on its website about the comfort of its patients, including access to television, but it fails to mention that using it is only possible after paying a minimum of 10 PLN for 4 hours. Personally, I didn't intend to use this, but I thought it might be important information for other patients so they can be prepared for additional costs.

Good morning, I wanted to share with you my terrible experience two weeks ago. My husband and I went because we were referred for a peritoneal decompression (my husband has ascites and needed to drain fluid from his abdomen). At the very beginning, the receptionist was outraged that we were there and, with terrible grace, directed us to the Internal Medicine department. Dear all, I understand everything, but if someone is unhappy with their job, please find another one. Hospitals should help, not kill us. THEN I GOT TO THE INTERNAL MEDICINE DEPARTMENT, AND DR. D****** WAS SO UNWARM AND ASKED WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR THERE. THIS HOSPITAL DOESN'T HAVE A SURGEON AND DOESN'T DO SUCH PROCEDURES. HE SAID WE SHOULD FIND ANOTHER HOSPITAL THAT WOULD DO SUCH A PROCEDURE FOR MY HUSBAND! I don't know why this hospital is named after the Holy Family. It's far from holy. I don't recommend this hospital, stay away from them.

Paying for parking is a disaster! You have to estimate how many hours you'll spend and pay for that. And as everyone knows, the scheduled appointment time is never the actual admission time. I don't understand how they can ignore the appointment times and allow patients to prioritize their appointments (someone arrived early because they had a long way to go, etc.). An hour is an hour. It's time to be seen (plus or minus 10 minutes, of course). They should be taking care of this if they're charging that much for appointments. Not to mention issuing a receipt for the service would be helpful. And back to parking lots. Couldn't they install a barrier at the entrance and pay before leaving? It's a simple and proven solution. And yet, they're preying on people who often arrive absent-minded, lost in thought, and nervous; often the elderly, for whom getting to the hospital is often a feat. In short, it's daylight robbery. Is there really that much risk of the parking lot being cluttered by people (or cars) not using the hospital's services?

Today, my mother and I had an appointment for blood tests at the laboratory at Holy Family Hospital. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered the laboratory was closed, and we hadn't received any prior information (phone call, text message, or email). This approach to patients is very inconvenient – my mother had to take time off work only to be told on the spot that the tests couldn't be performed. For working people, this is a significant waste of time and an organizational problem. The facility should improve communication with patients and provide advance notice of such changes. These days, it's really easy to send a short message, which would save patients a lot of trouble.
