The staff is great. At the moment, we are waiting for the results of the tests, since the wrong diagnosis was made in Ukraine. In Ukraine, sarcoma was treated for 7 months and it is gone. We are not saying that there is no oncology, but the fact that there is no sarcoma is already pleasing. Received very nicely and politely. The coordinators are Russian-speaking. Every day they keep track of all matters. Those who passed the tests were not left alone for a single minute. Currently, we are waiting for a meeting with an oncologist and a radiologist. I recommend

The surgeons apply an innovative surgical method of IRE (Irreversible Electroporation) or NanoKnife, as well as the Intrabeam System (intraoperative radiation). These original methods do not require application of a scalpel as far they are targeted and dotted methods of liver cancer treatment. For instance, NanoKnife is characterized by minimal injury rate and high-precision performance, minimizing postsurgical complications for the patient. Oncologists use it to destroy cancer cells under the impact of specific electrical impulses.

Main surgical methods of liver cancer treatment in Assuta are the following:

  • At the 1-2 stages of cancer with a small tumor and without metastasis resection is performed by means of Irreversible Electroporation (IRE) or NanoKnife.
  • At the 2 and 3 stages of liver cancer wide excision of the liver (about its half) - hemihepatectomy - is conducted.
  • At the severe stage of the disease the removal of the liver, duodenum, part of the stomach and pancreas are carried.
  • Complete liver transplantation.

Hello! My husband was treated at the University Hospital Hadassah. He has liver cancer. He is extremely impressed with the quality of medical care, the attention of professors Daniel Shuval, Alan Bloom, Ayal Hubert and their colleagues. He is grateful for the care of him. We had the opportunity to choose treatment in 5 leading hospitals in the world. And we are glad that by choosing HADASS we made the best and the right choice. Because this hospital has world-class medical care. But this would not have happened if it had not been for the wonderful organization and work of the specialists from the International Department who have been helping us all the time. With all my heart I thank everyone who helped and continues to help Pavel Kalchev in his fight against cancer. I wish all HADASS specialists health. Health for their families.
