I had an extremely frustrating experience at the hospital . None of the staff spoke English, which made it nearly impossible to communicate my concerns and questions. To make matters worse, they refused to accept card payments, and instead, they provided third-party payment details, which raised a huge financial red flag for me. To add insult to injury, I was required to pay a deposit of $200 in cash, which I later found out was non-refundable. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. It left me feeling both financially and emotionally distressed, and I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. Clear communication and fair payment practices are fundamental aspects of any healthcare facility, and this hospital failed miserably in both regards. In addition to the communication and payment issues, I must mention that the hospital was located in a completely unsuitable area for tourists. This made the overall experience even more distressing. Visitors to a foreign country expect medical facilities to be accessible and accommodating, but this hospital was situated in a place that made it extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable for travelers. It's an important factor to consider for anyone planning to visit the area and needing medical care.

I contacted the clinic via Bookimed.com before arrival and supplied them with my medical reports. They picked me up from the airport and sent me to my hotel. I requested having eye lens laser replacement asap so I can go back home a week after the operation. I arrived at the clinic early morning and was received by Anastasia, a health assistant supporting the patients and helping with the translation. I did all the pre operations test and then met with Dr. Remzi Karadag. He checked my test results and performed more tests, then confirmed my suitability for the operation. I had one eye operated on same day and the other eye the next day. I was issued with eye drops and information on how to look after my eyes during convalescence. A week on, so far so good. I am not using glasses anymore but full restoration of vision will take a month or maybe more. Everything was perfect. My personal driver met me at the airport and took me to the clinic in a luxury car. At the clinic I was met by the coordinator - interpreter Ismail. He helped me to get registered at the clinic and set preliminary analyses. The next day there was another coordinator - interpreter. She helped me through the remaining procedures before surgery. Many people come with an accompanying family member (mum, sister, husband) I came alone. So my coordinator sat with me in the room after surgery all day until I fully recovered, talking to me. All the days after the operation, the coordinators came several times a day to ask about my condition and my needs. All the doctors are very nice and attentive. All the staff, nurses, orderlies and other clinic staff are all very caring and nice. The ward is large and spacious. It has a toilet and a shower. There is a cupboard for personal belongings and a TV set. Meals are provided several times a day. The menu differs depending on the operation and some people can make their own diet. LIV Hospital services are very much in line with and in no way inferior to the world level, believe me, because due to health problems of my family, we had to see clinics in the USA, China, South Korea, Israel. From the very first call I felt great care for me as a loved one. Many thanks to Sabina, Nigina - coordinators / translators, they did a great job, we could contact them at any time of the day and they supported the patient with all their hearts. Please note that everything here is based on Turkish, only doctors can communicate in English. It can be seen how much Turkey has advanced and is self-sufficient. I am grateful to fate that I met the professor - neurosurgeon Chagatay Ozturk. Easy to communicate, concise, it is immediately clear that the highest level specialist, after the examination, identified the problem and showed it on the MRI scan and explained what was to come. An operation was performed to remove the hernia on L5-S1 and a titanium disc was installed. The atmosphere of the team was very favorable and cozy, there was a high level of coherence and discipline. The concern was such that I did not feel any pain or heaviness, although they say that the operation was not an easy one. On the second day after the operation, I already walked and on the sixth day I was already discharged. Finally I got rid of pain and sleepless nights over the years!
