I was nervous with feelings swaying about my treatment. Upon arrival in Turkey from the airport transfer onwards, I have got to say all doubts were a contrast as to what I witnessed and to the treatment I received.
On the first day the hotel staff were welcoming by the way I stayed local to VMH University Hospital Istanbul Besyol, at a budget I chose the World Point Hotel 700 meters away (Ramada Hotel was even closer.) I'm not arguing with what I paid, hygiene, cleanliness, manners, availability of staff, room, I got and witnessed.
The transfer to the Hospital l walked with my translator, who put all my nerves and questions I had to bed, I must say I felt alot better.
On arrival I was astounded, the smell of freshness, clean, I had to ask the translator how many floors 9 was the reply, Big, busy different ethnicities different cultures, vast array of people from all parts of the world, I felt comfortable.
The level of equipment, the Doctors, staff members would not go amiss in any Country.
The treatment I received the interaction which you have with the Doctor was of great effect to me as the knowledge about my treatment gained was instrumental in what was to happen.

I would like to mention the professionalism and attentiveness of the consultant Liana - she did a great job! I was also pleasantly surprised by the clinic's service. I was met at the airport at night, picked up from the hotel in the morning and brought to the clinic. Payment was quick and in 20 minutes I was accompanied by an interpreter who was a real professional.
In just two hours I had a full examination, and already at 14:00 the operation took place. I bore it easily - I was able to go for a walk in the evening. My eyesight started to improve, although it still takes time to fully stabilise.

I went to Veni Vidi Goz Antalya for a laser eye surgery. Unfortunately I couldn’t do the surgery due to my thin cornea. However I had a great experience interacting with the staff. I got a detailed explanation on why I couldn’t do the surgery as well as possible alternatives. Dr Ugur Balci and Ania Sebai were amazing. I’m still considering the alternative option I was offered and hope to go back to the clinic when I eventually make a decision.
