Dr. Burçin Batman is an Associate Professor, who has studied and worked in the field of medicine, including Obesity and Metabolic Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, and Laparoscopic inguinal and umbilical hernias. He is a member of the Turkish Surgery Association, Turkish Obesity Surgery Society, World Obesity Association, International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity, Society of Endocrine Surgery, and National Society for Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery, and has experience working at Firat University Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Mus Bulanik State Hospital, and LIV Hospital.
Associate Professor Burçin Batman studied medicine at Fırat University Faculty of Medicine; He completed his specialty education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). Afterwards, he completed his compulsory service at Muş Bulanık State Hospital and started to work full-time at Liv Hospital Ulus Hospital.
He has mainly worked in the field of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery (Stomach sleeve surgery, Endoscopic gastric balloon application, metabolic surgeries) and has been found in over 1000 cases in 6 years. In addition, he has worked in the fields of Colorectal Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, Laparoscopic inguinal and umbilical hernias, anal region diseases (Laser hemorrhoid treatment, Doppler assisted hemorrhoidopexy) and has performed many successful surgeries.
Founded in 2016, one of the first faculty members of the General Surgery Department of Istinye University Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Burçin Batman has given theoretical and practical lectures to medical students at this faculty until 2020.
