Damla Ozturk

Dr. Damla Ozturk is a periodontist at DentSpa Oral & Dental Health Clinic in Istanbul. She treats gum conditions and is a member of the International Association for Dental Research. Dr. Ozturk conducts research on the connection between Alzheimer’s disease and oral health.

Specialization and Dental Care

The doctor performs procedures to treat gum disease and restore oral function. She specializes in periodontal regenerative therapy — a process that regrows lost bone and tissue — and soft tissue grafting. Dr. Ozturk uses diode laser therapy to treat severe inflammatory gingival overgrowth. She conducts bone grafting and sinus-lifting procedures for implant preparation.

Dr. Ozturk investigates the link between systemic health and periodontology. This research led her to author "The Role of Periodontopathogens in Alzheimer's Disease" in 2019. Her thesis specifically evaluated the periodontal status in Alzheimer's patients. She also published an in-vitro evaluation of cervical microleakage in Paripex-Indian Journal of Research.
