Transplantologist, liver transplant specialist
Professor Zoltan is the head of the Clinic of Transplantology and Surgery at the Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest, Hungary.
Mate Zoltán received his doctorate from the Semmelweis University of Medicine and his PhD from a medical university in Germany. He completed a two-year training course in liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation in the United States.
Dr. Zoltan completed advanced training and internships in leading European clinics, and then worked in the transplant department of the Essen University Hospital and in the transplant laboratory at the Genf Clinic of Transplantology and Surgery in France.
Professor Mate Zoltán performed the first living donor liver transplant in Hungary.
